Which garbage bins has Novitzky been crawling around in for the last few months? Has he visted the European sewers yet? Those are like gold mines

If I hear/read another 'bra' from someone, I'm gonna puke. How many SDSU Aztecs are on this site... Not everything is a regurgitated version of 'Fast Times'. Nor should it be...

None of this is news, we already has admitted doping to a room full of people.

The clueless fan routine only works for Flicker, you need to try a different act.

When did he admit doping to a room of people and who was there.

Ive never heard this before, do you have a link?

Thanks Bra! :)

Listen Bra,

The elegant Betsy Andreau heard it loud and clear. You cannot possibly argue with this.

'memba Tammy Thomas?

scribe said:
Is he obligated to actually tell the truth? Serious question.

Tammy Thomas (a cyclist) was not even the focus of the BALCO investigation, but she lied to the grand jury. She went to jail for felony perjury, blowing 3 years of law school in the process. Had she told the truth, she would have lost cycling for 2 years but would have been able to keep her law career.

She could not have avoided the lifetime ban, it was a second offense. FWIW she did 6 months of house arrest not a year in the cooler.

What a tough choice. Go back to being a he/she in cycling, or returning to womanhood and losing cycling ability.

How about we stop splitting hairs and say that she did time. And she could have traded her waning cycling career for a new beginning. Instead, she'll be lucky to bag groceries now.

Selective labelling?

Downunder to ride the Tour of Southland, American cyclist Floyd Landis might rightly wonder about selective labelling by New Zealand media. Mentions of the man who was stripped of a Tour de France victory for doping generally begin "disgraced cyclist Floyd ...", while the leader of the Southland race, our own Jeremy Yates, escapes such negative description. Yet both failed tests for the same steroid - testosterone - and both were banned for two years.

The key change is instead of saying he never, ever, doped he is now saying he never, ever pressured others to dope.

You keep banging on about this key change. What key change?

He always said he never doped. Since Floyd's accusations of being pressured to dope by him, he's also saying he never pressured others to dope.

How on earth do you manage to read some sort of 'change' towards admitting personal doping in that?

It appears you do not understand what the actual case is. A little dope, not that big of a deal as long as you do not lie about it....finanacing, organizing, and directing a doping program is a much bigger legal issue. Armstrong wants to distance himself as much as possible from these actions.

Back on topic.

The problem when you are a guy like Armstrong is when your "friends" see the gravy train is ending they do not have a problem tossing you under the bus. Poor Lance. One of the most helpful people for Novitzky is a former....um, friend. After years of putting up with his BS she has decided to tell the truth.... catholic upbringing etc.

What was that saying about a woman scorned? At this point the smartest thing he can do is admit, otherwise he is going to jail.

Are you saying the crime(s) Lance has committed are not serious enough to land him in jail? That is going to disappoint the haters.....

Gotta disagree with you though....the crimes ARE enough serious to land him in jail, even if he admits. Doesn't matter though. It is going to end up a hung jury.
Haters and fanboys on the jury you see....

How many cycling fans do you really think will end up on the jury? I'm thinking probably none.

With America's history of crushing people in power on 'moral' issues, I doubt the jury would be hung. If it all comes out in the wash, it could really be a bad for the Golden Boy...

I understand the relative seriousness of personal doping vs. pushing, but what recent 'key change' statement from LA would you argue says 'I may have doped a little but I didn't push it on others?'

Consistent denial is all I've ever seen. Denial of doping and denial of pushing.

How many cycling fans... as in those who've watched an event other then the Tour de France?

Probably none.

How many Lance fans? Well that's a different question. Lots of people bought those yellow bracelets. I'm betting a couple end up on the jury.
