On the other side, Cunego might leave Lampre for either Garmin or Sky. But there would be a 3rd team interested.

Lampre and Ukrainian cycling group ISD decided to combine their efforts in a ProTour cycling team.
This joint project, meant to have at least a three years term and already starting in 2011, will give birth to the team named Lampre-ISD. The history and experience by Lampre will be joined by the passion of Ukrainan group ISD.

ISD corporation is famous for the active support of the Urkainian cycling and its cooperation with Lampre will be a new stage on the cycling field. During the last five years this big metallurgical company is successively building the pyramid of cycling through the sports club holding the same name: it starts with the support of the kids and ends with the creation of the professional cycling teams on road and track as well as the mountain bike teams.
In 2009 and 2010 ISD has supported an Ukrainian-Italian Professional Continental team and now the big metallurgical corporation has decided to raise his level in cycling world joining a ProTour team
It's interesting also that ISD supports an Ukrainian Continental team that is the youth collective in which young talents could improve their experience and skill.
Vasiliy Zhdanov will take care of the support to the project by the Urkainian part, being a valid helper of general manager Giuseppe Saronni.

General manager Giuseppe Saronni was happy about the chance to be supported by ISD: “Galbusera familiy, owner of Lampre company and of the presidence of the team, and I were very glad about the interest showed by ISD towards our team because that is a sign that we worked in a proper way in cycling world. Respecting our current sponsors, we evaluated with attention the project of the Ukrainian company, appreciating the passion and the good ideas showed: so, we reached an agreement that will be refined in the next week, knowing well that we're building something important for cycling. The feeling between Lampre and ISD about sport matter could be extended to business field too”.

Wow... since when Rujano is going to sign for Lampre??? Rujano was in ISD this year but since they didn't recieve an invitation for Il Giro he decided to leave the team and look for a PT... so he was in conversations with Footon before Le Tour to participate in La Vuelta but I haven't heard another rumour about it...

The reason was that He wanted to be in Il Giro and when he signed with them, they promised him that They would be invited to Il Giro... but that never happened so... He was not happy with them and He leave the team to ride La Vuelta a Venezuela (which he never finished! I was surprised and I still don't know why he didn't finish) and then La Vuelta a Colombia...

and the fact that Lampre will start to work closely with and on the training centre of Mapei.

The Italian team manager Roberto Damiani leaves Omega Pharma-Lotto. He will relocate, to Italy where he will strengthen Lampre's technical staff will optimize the team in cooperation with the Mapei-center of Aldo Sassi.

After four years working in Belgium, Roberto Damiani prepares to return to Italy. "In Omega Pharma it was like a family, I had another year contract, but the adventure that was brought me by Lampre and Beppe Saronni stimulated me to the point that I decided to accept it."
The technical Lombardian began his career among the professionals in the Riso Scotti David Boifava then moved on to Mapei where for three years, he was involved in the Youth Project, and two seasons at Fassa Bortolo, one at Liquigas, LPR, and then four in Belgium.
"With Lampre I will have the opportunity to get back into game - said to Damian tuttobiciweb - plus a new role: I am the technical director of the team and by my side I will have a technical staff confirmed (Piovani, Fabrizio HBontempi, Tebaldi and Close) to which I'd add a couple of other people of my own.
My choice for Lampre was one of mutual respect with Saronni, which led me to sign a three year contract. Programs? I am a pragmatic and above all I need to understand the environment in which I find to work.
I have the impression, however, to be arrived in a large structured team that just needs to improve. Cunego? Do not call it a challenge rather be a bell'impegno ...
