I hope it's the curse for wearing the pink jersey that he didn't deserve and never won

10000000000000000000000 thumbs up for you. It's a farce he accepted the ceremony thing. It surprises me Alberto stays so calm. I would be furious.

he should not have accepted to ride with number 1 and with pink jersey. he may say whatever he wants in media about contador. his deeds make sure he thinks of himself as the winner of last year. quite sad. although I like scarponi in everything else until this

Exactly what I think. Unfortunately there are not many that agree with us.

For your info: he is the winner of lasts year Giro, just like Landis is not the 2006 Tour winner. Grow up. Scarponi was also on the Fuentes list so he knows better than a Contador fanboy, imho.

On topic: Scarponi just has to hide himself for the next 2 weeks, he will show up in the mountains.

For your info: Scarponi himself thinks (or at least that what he says) Alberto is the winner. How hypocritical is it to then accept a ceremony that celebrates him as the winner. Same with Andy.

:confused:Why? It is not up to him to decide whether contador doped or not he just goes along with the decision made by the bosses.

Do you know something we don't?

As i remember the doping question is from a year before. the q Scarponi needs to ask himself is whether he can accept the title on a technicality from someone who did "nothing wrong" in that race. from scarponis pov he gets the title if the ban is retroactive and doesn't if its forward so his title is entirely in the hands of the court

On a side note Scarponi will know more about whether Contador doped or not than the guys who handed down his sentence.

Jesus Christ, this again? How many times do we have to discuss this? No one will change their minds at this point, stop beating a dead horse.

So what?
Once again it is not up to Scarponi, this is not his race and he cant do what he wants if you are bitter at CAS and WADA and the UCI and everyone who testified against Contador then so be it. But the underlying fact is he was suspended and the Giro organisers had no choice but to present the jersey (if you have read what Acquerone said you would realise he was very against contador being suspended and basically said the whole thing was a farce and he should never have been suspended) Once that is done Scarponi has not much choice, at the end of the day he is just a rider who rides. I think that the people who are supposed to make the decisions in cycling should make those decisions rather than the riders starting to make decisions.

That is nevermind the reprecussions and criticism which he would have received should he have declined the offer.

****ing hell?!?! What the **** is this?
Take a hint from Alberto and stay calm. He doesn't seem hold a grudge against Scarponi for wearing pink in Herning and Rasmussen certainly doesn't hold against Contador for wearing yellow in Paris. Would you rather Contador got an actual two year ban for his doping violation? As in, two years of not racing? If not, then shut up. Please.

Why is it that great riders so often have a thousand times more class than the fangirls who live vicariously through them?

Condator did not test positive in the 2011 Giro.....unless I missed something, which I didn't.

Yeh but he should have never been there in the first place.
He was the strongest rider, he won... But then if a guy rode the course on a Motor bike he would have won as well.
The key thing is both contador and the motor bike arent allowed.

To follow through, when lance decided not to wear yellows as defending champion was it because he thought the win was tainted.

Yes, but that's a discussion for the tour and Andy schleck. this one is about the giro and Scarponi. Contadors positive is from the tour so the -does he deserve the giro title, discussion, is a slightly different one from the, did he dope, one.

Your laying the blame at those who weren't caught doping? Your hero got caught, deal with it, he does too. The CAS ruling wasn't pretty but the evidence was there. As a result your hero wasn't eligible to even compete in last year's Giro.

And of course Scarponi says what he says, he is no stupid boy.

The facts are Contador rode as 'cleared' rider, he had every right to ride, and did not test during the race. And he slaughtered Scarponi...... Scarponi knows who won the race but he was certainly entitled to wear the #1 number. Anyway enough of that!!!

Hopefully Scarponi finds some Form and finds it soon because I want him to ride Well!!!

You could also see it as he [Contador] should not have been there participating. That's why Scarponi should not be the winner of last year's Giro. No winner.

I dont see the difference. If Contador doped he shouldnt have been racing the Giro. So no he doesnt deserve the title. Of course if he didnt dope its a different story....

The difference between Alberto and me is that I am not the centre of attention. Who knows what he really thinks about this.

Actually, yes.

Why is it that great riders so often have a thousand times more class than the fangirls who live vicariously through them?

1) Dopers don't have class (what does that say about those fangirls?)
2) You don't know anything about me, so please stop judging me.

That's not what I'm doing.

Why is it that haters always tell me to do what Alberto does?
