What's your favourite italian race not considering the Giro?

MSR is great because it signifies the start of a new season. Lombardia is bitter-sweet as it the last big race of the season.

That's exactly what I was thinking and why I voted for MSR.

Sanremo for so many reasons. It's one my favorite races, not just an Italian race. I look forward to it each year.

Most of Italian races are beautiful (especially one day races). Lombardia, Strade Bianche and Piemonte are my favourites.

I luv 'em all.
Can't pick a race, because it depends on the edition, rather than the event.
There have been poor Tirreni and Lombardi, but great Tre Valli etc.

For me it's also Milano-Sanremo.

I don't really like the race that much, but I always find myself looking forward to it so much and that's why I prefer it over Lombardia.

Lombardia clearly is a more beautiful race and I enjoy watching it more, but it is held at the end of the season, shortly after the worlds. The contrast with the epicness of the event that is the worlds always makes it less exciting for me.

For these reasons I feel like I'm less emotionally involved with Lombardia and therefore have to go with MS.

Agree with most of this. After Worlds, GdL seems a bit anticlimactic. Generally not my type of parcours, but there's just something incredibly exciting about MSR.
