Ive got a cyclo cross race in the morning tomorrow. First cross race in South Australia.
I will get up and have a litre of water and a handful of dates and ride 20k to the start which is at 9am and then eat/drink right after. Its a short race so no need to eat anything during.

oldborn said:Sir durianrider, i am 68-70kg and Polyarmour called me fat.
I am thinking of loosing some 2-3 kg upper body mass.
What is the best way to do so?
I like sweat and have a really fast metabolism.
I am going into gym only till april (off season), mainly for core exercise (push ups, seat ups, etc)
durianrider said:Its pretty simple, if you want to ride like a roadie then train with roadies. Bodyweight exercises dont put on the muscle like heavy weights do so pushups etc are fine. You also dont need to waste money going to a gym (unless your using it for pick'n up) as bodyweight exercises can be done in the elevator, bus, car, bike etc on the way to work or whilst watching TDF re-runs etc.
NEVER focus on getting lighter, focus on building health and fitness and as a result, our body will adapt. Otherwise its like doing a road race and focusing on being first wheel the whole race and wondering why we get dropped when the real race starts.
