I think he wants to save number 100 for an iconic climb (like Hautacam for example) but Visma are playing with his nerves.

Pog just wants to win -, there is no saving for an iconic climb if the race dictates. That said given the margins the race would usuay dictate this is a breakaway day and I cannot see UAE controlling for the purpose of a stage win unless a strong protagonist is in the break. Jumbo may but they'd be better of trying to stick a Kuss, or Jorgenssen who are no longer GC threats into a break if they want to win the stage.

Pogacar and UAE won’t let any Visma rider win. If Kuss or Jorgensen are in the break, UAE will control it for a Pogacar win.

This supposed meanness is reciprocal. Visma and his entourage have been making unpleasant statements against Pogacar for years.

Anyway, Visma controlled the stage yesterday. Sivakov only controlled it at the finish when the gap to the break was already small.

I don't think they'll control it today.
I think if Visma doesn't control UAE won't.

Also, I think Pogacar doesn't want to compete the green jersey against Van der Poel.

Maybe he's happy with vdP winning the points classification, on the other hand right now he leads in GC, Points and KOM. To win all of them is a nice feat that really doesn't happen often at all. 50% Stage wins, all jerseys except white and 100 wins, possibly all with a single strike. Don't know if UAE doesn't think that's to cool to give away.

Yeah, Visma have been saying stuff for ages. Since Dumo saying Pog looked like a miner on the bike. They always been talking a lot. Just did before the race as well.

Jorg tweets after the ITT and them doing interviews outside UAE bus after the ITT.

Hilarious that they then play victim. Just so arrogant.

Mindgames are part of cycling but Plugge looks like a fool right now after those comments about Vingegaard being better than Pogacar in a 3 week race.
I don't see mindgames as arrogance, Pogacar does it too. They are killers and want to win. For example, Pogacar was cruising yesterday and lost 17 seconds in the last km just for Vingegaard to see him in the finish line. Cycling is a mental game too.

It is a difference between mind games and being disrespectful. Visma mostly find themselves on the latter one.

He? The sponsors? Or the UCI?
Anyway, yeah, they definitely saved #100 for the TdF.

But once #100 is deemed to happen at the TdF, I don't think they care that much for it to be on an iconic climb.

I mean, what he is going to do?
Not win the ITT (even though Remco and others a way bigger favorites, there) or a hilly stage, only because they wouldn't be as iconic as it would be winning #100 on, let's say, Mont Ventoux?
