Actually no, though he does add to the great racing. I prefer them over the cobbles though I understand why others may like cobbles better because they are difficult to ride over and it causes hard, difficult racing.

I prefer the cobbles because I live near them. If I lived near the ugly city of Luik I'd probably prefer Ardennes.

Early August, because you have multiple stage races, many of which you can see live, and which only partially overlap, allowing you to see the majority of all, with Burgos (not mentioned above but a key Vuelta warmup race), Portugal, Poland and Colombia (let's face it, would I ever give a damn about the Danmark Rundt?)... Poland is turning into a tougher, better race, and Burgos is awesome, Portugal tough and varied and Colombia the toughest race on the calendar.

We all know that week is only about the Saxo Bank training tour.
I cant think of a week which revolves less around Saxo than that.

They didnt do the Vuelta they didnt do the Volta and Poland was one of the few races that Andy Schleck didnt ride. Their whole team was focused around the Haedo brothers. The field was too strong though. I saw with my own eyes Juan Sebastian and Lucas give up 200m from the finish in Warsaw.

I put Early August as an option just for you. Frankly it would be my favourite too if I was somehow able to watch Colombia. Those links just never worked.

Haters gonna hate

Oh yes, didn't know other races took place on such a horrible date, looked over it xD

The race it self is fine though, at least this year.

You wouldn't know it since I take my primary cycling vacation of the year during the same week but the Ardennes Classics week always gets me giddy with anticipation and excitement.

I voted other. I like the week of the TOC because I get to watch the Giro in the morning and the TOC in the afternoon.

For me More Racing > Better Racing.

The week of P-R and Basque country is also a great week of racing.
