You guys always act as if everyone is scared of racing against Pogacar.
(Im not only talking about vingegaard, remco and roglic only here, who cares what they will do, besides remco their useless and helpless in everything besides GT anyway)

Its not about beeing scared, most are obliged to race the biggest races.

But only a fool would act like if he wasnt on the startline on a random race that these cyclist wouldnt be happy about it. Manyyyy riders have openly stated when he is in the race they have started to race for second, I think the rest goes without saying. Only a fool would pretend that they dont account for that somehow, ofcourse they do, that shouldnt be hard to grasp at all.

Pogi's race programme is far from optimal for a Giro Tour double.

Still and AFAIK the final decision, about Giro (or Vuelta), hasn't be made yet.

You have to give the others some time. They just recently (11december to be exact) started to plan their schedule in details.

Or they'd already started planning their schedules well before...

Rogla knew at Visma already, he is doing Giro-Tour.

Of course he is going to the Vuelta.

From fandom point of view he is, but the real decision hasn't been made yet.

No he wasn't, unless you think Roglič will finish the season after the Tour.

Rogla will be away from his family for half a year, to complete Giro-Tour double goal. So yeah, after achieving this goal i don't feel much racing beyond Worlds it at play in the 2025 season. So all in all Rogla got mere 2 votes, out of 38 votes, but in the end he is the one that announced first and by doing that dropped the mic, other can now only follow. Lets hope it will look the same on the road too!

The decision was already made. Pogacar is going to the Vuelta unless he finishes the Tour very tired.
Giro is out of question. Ayuso and Yates will be the leaders.

Abi we all love Rogla, me and you have established he is the fashion guru of cycling also a good guy, no alpha though. He will win the double for his family this year and after raise the level of style into the peloton and then jump of into the skies, perfect retirement.

In the articles i read it said the decision has not been made yet, things like route should be revealed first and Ayuso even said it doesn't change much for him if Pogi will end up riding the Giro. But OK, there might be other articles involved too that i didn't read. So please give me a link to such articles, on where it was said Pogi isn't doing Giro in the 2025 season. For the decision to already be made.

Look at his schedule and compare it with last year. No way Pogi doing the Giro.

After the double the plan is to become world champion. Pogi did it last year and was praised for it. Why not.

No need for further announcements.

I don't agree with that, that is at some point Pogi and UAE will announce it. That is if Pogi will do a double and if yes which one. Until now the only official announcement in this regard is they haven't decided yet. Rogla on the other hand was the first one, out of big four, to already cement it.

P.S. Some fans obvisuly already decided for Pogi, though.

Tour, and Vuelta if he's not too exhausted. That's how it is, like it or not.

This is not official announcement but a fandom prediction. In Rogličes case it's now official, Giro-Tour, finally might i add!

No official announcement but the Giro is very unlikely anyway. He has a full classics schedule (including cobbles) so adding Giro+Tour would make zero sense. It'll be a more typical approach: classics + Tour and maybe Vuelta if he's not too tired after the battle with Skeletor (but I wouldn't be that surprised if he focuses on WC and Lombardia after the Tour).

What is this childplay, its pretty obvious Pogacar realesed it first but if its means much to you im sure noone would mind saying Roglic did.

''Matxin did not confirm whether he would be racing the Vuelta a España or not later in the year. In large, that will depend on feeling at the moment, but also on the route which will only be revealed this upcoming 19th of December in Madrid.''

Guys i get it, fandom predicting Pogi will ride Vuelta is more likely then riding Giro, that is not disputed as such. The thing is the decision wasn't made yet and we are still waiting for announcement and AFAIK it can still go both ways.

A Tour de France defence will be central to Pogačar's season, with the final decision between the Giro d'Italia in May and the Vuelta a España in August depending on the route of the two Grand Tours.

Meanwhile:

Confirmed: Primož Roglič to target Giro d'Italia and Tour de France in 2025 for Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe

So from this thread point of view things should now be settled. The contender with fewest votes won, such an underdog.

The decision has been made the moment they decided to do a full spring.
Whether they announced it "officially" is a different thing but the decision is obvious by his spring schedule.

In Rogličes case it was announced officially.

Old man roglic won something this year

A GT and a week long stage race is not too shabby. Who else has won that in the 2024 season? Next season obviously appetite is set a bit higher. As it should be.
