I voted Kuss. Gewiss-Ballan all over. Volta ao Spain. That's how I feel.

Don't forget he didn't ride for GC in either the Giro or Tour; not that that still isn't an incredible amount of hard riding but it should make a difference. He's a robust guy, recovers very well, and so far it seems like all the racing has suited him very well because he is flying. That said, there is a long way to go and the third week is still very hard. A big factor is frankly, as I said in Sepp's thread, it would be hard to imagine being in the leaders jersey at the end of the second week in a better position than he is. Pretty nice time buffer, two teammates either there to work for him or pick up the slack if he has a bad day. And if he DOES have the bad day, who except the usual suspects on here who irrationally hate the guy are going to blame him? He's got 2 2/3rds GC's in his legs; it wouldn't be a huge shock if he fades. He's got nothing to lose and everything to gain.I don't really get it. Kuss is seemingly in the shape of his life riding his third consecutive GT. Now I guess at least a bit of that is inferior competition but it's still absolutely remarkable.
I still think this is far from over. I think he can have a bad day any moment and something like Ayuso really going for it on the angliru could absolutely kill his gc ambitions. But I have to admit I massively underestimated him. Pretty incredible.
I voted other/Vino for Remco because he’s been the strongest the last 2 days.
Kuss could falter, but the Angliru climb may be the only opportunity for this to happen. After all that he has done for Roglic and Vingegaard, an attack from that quarter is very unlikely. That leaves it to his few other GC challengers (Ayuso, Soler, Landa...). Kuss should be the one.unfortunately, the winner will be picked by the DS & JVT management, UNLESS some misfortune happens to Kuss.
I mean.... Will Vingegaard attack Kuss? or Roglic for that matter? the situation is quite sketchy if you ask me
He was actually riding GC at the Tour though until his crash. Without it he’s in the top 10.Don't forget he didn't ride for GC in either the Giro or Tour; not that that still isn't an incredible amount of hard riding but it should make a difference. For me, he looks GREAT right now, happy, relaxed, and strong, and Ayuso was just quoted as saying he thinks Sepp is the strongest TJV guy. I believe he's going to do it.
The division of labour at Jumbo has been clear in the last three stages, and was confirmed by Ayuso in an interview yesterday:unfortunately, the winner will be picked by the DS & JVT management, UNLESS some misfortune happens to Kuss.

he could, but on paper Angliru is the best climb of the race for him, and it comes after basically two rest days, given the junior length of the stage tomorrow. I'd think it's more likely Kuss wins than falters on Angliru.Kuss could falter, but the Angliru climb may be the only opportunity for this to happen
I agree that he will more likely gain time than lose it. I was just emphasizing that this is the only stage that someone could attack him.he could, but on paper Angliru is the best climb of the race for him, and it comes after basically two rest days, given the junior length of the stage tomorrow. I'd think it's more likely Kuss wins than falters on Angliru.
It is really hilarious that you replies to 2 posts from KOM without being able to sense he's being insanely ironic in these 2 posts and then you use his ironic posts as proof that fans of Remco have no connection to reality. That really brings in the fanboys.
He was in a good position, but there is no way he was TARGETING the yellow jersey at the Tour; his job 100% was working for Jonas. Of course someone like Sepp is going to find himself high up the GC just by the nature of his strengths as a rider, but he had his days off at the Tour which was ultimately my point. He was actually riding GC at the Tour though until his crash. Without it he’s in the top 10.
If he is getting better as he says, I could definitely see him winning on Angliru rather than having any trouble. Unless he completely loses it the last week the only type of stage I could see him running into trouble would be an echelon type race and I don't know what the winds are like in the area around Friday's stage. As long as he stays good the type of climbing left in this race suits him very well.he could, but on paper Angliru is the best climb of the race for him, and it comes after basically two rest days, given the junior length of the stage tomorrow. I'd think it's more likely Kuss wins than falters on Angliru.
This Vuleta is over - next year though the Vuelta becomes the Volta, baby!

Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, could be the city that will host the start of the Vuelta a Espana 2024. The rumour has surged today, after the race having cancelled the stages in it's Iberic neighbor back in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to AS, "there are talks with several locations and Lisbon is the one most likely to host the departure".
So G can race next year and feel young again, as we go to the land of rocket fuel and elderly stage winners.
There’s a difference between targeting the yellow Jersey and riding for GC. Kuss was making sure to finish with the main group every. He was in a good position, but there is no way he was TARGETING the yellow jersey at the Tour; his job 100% was working for Jonas. Innacurate. Portugal was expected to host two stages in the third week. The 2020 start was planned in Utrech. It was supposed to start in Portugal in 2020, but then covid happend![]()
