I'm trying to reconcile your apparent interest and request for changes to a list of guesses of redacted names in affidavits submitted as evidence to a doping case....

The suggestions re. formatting were simply my logical mind at work. I didn't speculate re. anyone's identify (and don't really have a clue who anyone of them might be).

As for my interest re. Lim, it stems from the fact that I've been on a speaker's panel with him before, and also have entered into discussions here (IIRC) opining that Landis' accusation didn't ring true (based on timing, Lim's background, etc.). I was therefore wondering if anyone else had noticed that his name didn't appear, and/or if I had missed something.

Did you see video of him denying it after the Landis email came to light? It was like an audition for the world's worst liar.

Since they're pretty open about outing Livingston when talking about the transfusions etc--but not Julich--I'm guessing that Livingston probably talked to the USADA, but was unwilling to file an affidavit that would get him tossed from his basement business-place. Maybe USADA, recognizing his shaky position, didn't want to push him too far. Not a good reflection on Livingston's character, if true.

Another thing I'm wondering about--did Julich refuse to speak with USADA, or was he not asked? Still remember his 'altitude training' with Voigt in the California Sierra Nevada's before one TDF when both were with CSC....

Just what I was looking for, great thread. I'd tracked a couple down myself (albeit the obvious ones eg no. 7 tested positive in the 2005 Vuelta etc) but hoped there'd be a thread along these lines in the Clinic.

I rattled through Hamilton's book in a couple of evening but the weight of material in this report is just mind-blowing...

"Savoldelli" is probably the most often misspelled name in the history of cycling. It comes up as "Salvodelli" regularly even in the media, and when he rode for Roslotto I was sure "Salvodelli" was the correct form. It's not even that complicated of a name! Gah.

Anyway, the Bileka story was a great read. Interesting that he worked with Ferrari for over a year without getting into doping programs. As he said, Ferrari clearly didn't care much for him.

Zabriskie mentions in his report:

"I also recall being in Belgium for a race while on U.S. Postal and Rider-5 and Rider-8, who lived in Spain, came to the race hotel in Belgium even though they were not in the race."

If my research is correct, during his four years at US Postal Zabriskie took part in just two races in Belgium: Tour de la Region Wallonne 2004 and Ronde van België 2004 - and in both of them Pena was on the startlist as well and therefor would not match.

But on the other side, in his E-Mail to Stefano Ferrari in 2007 he says he had worked with Ferrari before

Zabriskie might also have mistaken Belgium with Holland or whatever. And also the length of his name would fit I think

So, working with (and paying for) Ferrari doesn't automatically mean doping.

Pena's E mail to the Ferraris' is hilarious.
Poor guy has to ask whether they remember him, and speaks earnestly about him joining Rock Racing and the team wanting to do big things:D:eek:

Interestingly though, Pena says that he had the possibility of working with Ferrari during his US Postal days but Ferrari had to choose some other guys over him and he was out of selection.
