Not nearly as unbearable as some Dutchies about Gesink :p

As I never gloat when my favorite riders win and look back at someone's old posts just to tell them they were horribly wrong

What makes you think I'm such a fan of VDB anyway? I'd rather see Contador win.

This is easy Schleck...What with Chaingate,Cobbled stage of TDF,he just seems to whine to much for my liking....He will find a way to stuff up another tdf"

Although i don't like him either, not many riders would come out of the chaingate situation with a smile on thier face and a shrug of the shoulders.

The battle lines are well and truly drawn here. The Schleck haters and/or Contador fanboy, against the Contador haters. Then with the anti-anythingtouchedbyLA/JB crew which doesn't want Klöden to win :(

Of course I'm simplifying things here, maybe Contador losing would be seen as good for the race?

I didn't vote as there isn't anyone I REALLY don't want to see winning it. So okay, I wouldn't be overjoyed with Wiggins winning, but the positive would be to see all of the funny outrage on the forum. Same with an Andy win.

Or Tony Martin would be even better!

What I liked the most on this poll was, "Someone from Radioshack." LOL

I voted the Shack because their top guys... not so much to win, but just podium... IMO would be Klodi, or Jani. And for one of THEM to win would mean disaster, mayhem, catastrophe and any other negative set of circumstances for all the real contenders, which would not make for a good race.
Sorry, Shack... nothing personal.

Gesink. I generally cheer against the young guys and if he doesnt have a gt in 8 years then i will be cheering for him big time.

But right now hes only 24, the youngest there

Also there are other people far more deserving of the hype he is receiving.

You have, generally listed as the big favourites - Andy, Contador, Basso, Evans and Samu, all of whom have multiple gt podiums and multiple gt stages.

And the final name on that list and outgunning them all on pure hype is a guy who has not one of either.

Close second on the "who you dont want to win list" is Schleck because of what i see as an anticycling mentality of Tour only matters nothing else. Because he didnt list Samu as one of the contenders for the Tour. Because hes got that superteam behind him to give him every tiny advantage possible in this one race.

But he is older than Gesink and he has also shown far more+ i think he has shown some real balls at times, namely in LBL.

Edit: Samu has no haters hooray, though thats probably because hes so invisible generally (considered the names that have popped up over the threads expected to finish above him).

Of course once the dutchies read my post the Samu hate will rise ;)

I suppose that would be oversimplifying things. ;)

But seriously, I don't see how Contador losing would be good for the race. Him winning by a tiny margin would be equally as good.

If anything, Schleck is the favorite now. Winning the two toughest GTs in a row is easier said than done.

I hadn't realized he was so young. Gotta do that cycling homework. and used to variations on this:

Had to vote albie, nothing personal I actually think he's quite likeable. I just want to see someone else compete beat him and make future gts intresting why is wiggo on the list? He surely isn't considered s contender?

Nothing against Contador, but I'm rooting for Schleck so Conti seemed the logical choice for this poll!

Contador just cause of the CAS 'scandal', the sport shouldnt be d*cked over like this. Otherwise I wouldve voted for the RS boys

People aren't jailed after being found innocent, but waiting for an appeal against that initial judgement.

That is one way of looking at it.
For example, I wouldn't let an accused pedophile babysit my children.

Maybe not a great example, but my point is, a cycling race is some what different. The argument that AC shouldn't be racing is fair, it is annoying that it takes this long.
