Bingo.

It's a hell of a lot of work to do well, and basically you'd have to be unemployed to do it right. I'll go out on a limb and say the unemployment line isn't the best pool to be drawing from.

I could not do it with my time.

Very Classy

And this guy  but I can never remember his username :D
Hell no! Anyone who puts my name up is invited to a game of Ro-Sham-Bo, and I'm going first

My nominations:

Wonderlance
Chewie
Benotti AND EnacheV (Both or none)
Krebs
Ryo Hazuki

On a serious note - Libertine. Hitch, Granville, JRanton, Hrotha and Mew are a few others off the top of my head who would do well IMO.

Every once in a while we must have these thinly-veiled popularity contests.

Usually it boils down to 3 or 4 posters that everyone can agree are top-notch.

Thing is though: do you really want the posters you most respect to become mod? It might end up ruining them for you.

I think those three or four top-notch posters should not become mods and stay what they are: top-notch posters

Agree with Christian here, while the first names that come to mind would be the really good and knowledgeable posters like Hitch, LS, Hrotha, etc. I probably wouldn't want them to actually be a mod. They probably wouldn't accept first of all, and being a mod may limit what they post. So that they couldn't post as freely. Definitely wouldn't want that.

The main quality that should be looked for in a mod IMO would be someone that is able to see and analyze both sides of an issue. And won't let their personal bias's effect their modding too much. Cyivel, Dazed and Confused, Skidmark, Armchair, Jranton, and Gooner are a few guys that I think could make good mods.

Edit: Also AussieGoddess.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to improve on search's refusal, and requote myself paraphrasing Krebs.

And William Tecumseh Sherman - I notice you got that in the original post. On the other hand, we have FDR

President Franklin D. Roosevelt inverted the pledge in 1944, stating that he felt obligated to serve if nominated: "If the people command me to continue in this office and in this war, I have as little right to withdraw as the soldier has to leave his post in the line."

And your name IS getting traction here.

Just sayin'.

There is another name that has not been mentioned, but should be, although for one thread only (I don't think he wants any other)

Nowhereman. mod of BoB. He'd be great.

Who could ever forget JFK;

"And so, my fellow denizens: ask not what your forum can do for you–ask what you can do for your forum."

What's with the reaction? You don't like social experiments or are you concerned by my vote of confidence? :D

Let's just say that I never watch South Park ;)

You would have a natural advantage over 42x16ss in a game of Roshambo, by nature's design. Doesn't mean you would be invulnerable - but just an advantage.

And I never watch South Park, either. Can't stand it myself, but, hey, different strokes.
