I'm ashamed to have forgotten Michele Scarponi on my list. He's definitely one of my favourites. I also like Dan Martin.

I don't really mind Vino either. I absolutely love his attacking/animating ability

So I discover that Denmark isn't the great cycling nation it used to be. If we had this poll in the 90'ies Rolf Sørensen and maybe Bjarne Riis would have appeared on that list.

I will make two lists, one with my favourite danish riders and another with my favourite international riders.

Favourite danish riders:

Matti Breschel
Chris Anker Sørensen
Nicki Sørensen
Alex Rasmussen
Jacob Nielsen

Favourite international riders:

Alberto Contador
Cadel Evans
Pierrick Fedrigo
Phillipe Gilbert
Davide Moncoutie
Fabian Cancellara
Fränk Schleck
Jack Bobridge

I have not. Please enlighten me El Pistolet.

I don't know all the details anymore.

In the beginning things went great, but after he won the world championship for the first time(I don't think it was with the pros) his family from Czechoslovakia(minus the Slovakia part) came over and started moving in little by little in the foster home of Stybar. In the end, his foster parents got sick of it and just threw Stybar on the street in the middle of the night with nowhere to go(he could stay with his girlfriend though)

Both sides have different stories about why things went bad because at first things were going great between them. I don't remember the whole story anymore, but this is a summary of it :p

Got the chance to go to Bredene twice as I was studying at my grandparents' house but couldn't quite get them to let me go watch :p

What do you mean? Watching cycling on France Télévision I get the feeling they like the Schlecks a lot.

French forums, which I'm reading but don't frequent, for the quality is so low. This is a far better place.

The weird thing with these folks is that they were Ullrich fans in the bad old days and they criticize Andy for his lack of consistency throughout the year. I'll never get what goes on in the mind of a Frenchman really.

A Schleck is a midget compared to Gesink, Evans, Nibali or Gilbert and Cancellara but a giant compared to L.A, J.U or even A.C.

Great to see all these cyclocross on these boards ... in June. ;)

Agree on Walsleben, a nice guy.

The rider that I found the coolest off the race is Arnaud Jouffroy. Always smiling, always free for the kids and a great sense of self-derision. :)

Chainel also has self-derision but is showing off a bit.

Pauwels epitomizes shyness but I don't blame him, being very shy myself. I kind of identify with him. That's the way I like to see him. Franzoi is shy too but not as much.

Albert might be cool off his bike but during the race, he's a crybaby to me. Ans such silly thoughts on doping. I don't dislike him but rather another rider than him.

I also liked Stybar better in his early days. Is he that arrogant? Hmm Wij zullen zien ! :p

I like Tom Meeusen too. Always smiling. Just like Aernouts or Al.

Nys is really more than OK with fans, for a guy of his status. I also really liked Erwin Vervecken. Very patient with fans. True class act for me.

Albert a crybaby during a race? When this guy wins it's usually by riding away in the second or third round already. If anything, he almost never wants to give up and keeps fighting. He also has a bad start most of the time and he needs to fight to come up front before Stybar or Nys put down the hammer.

Can't wait for cyclocross season to begin again :D The coverage is just so much better than Mountainbike for example(and mb pays crap). My opinion at least.

Am I the only one who has no clue who that rider is? Seems like a merger between Vanendert and Vande Velde.

Lantern Rouge, right? :p

Only Kenny van Hummel could threaten his record, but he sucks too much for even that!

Hushovd and Arvesen is the ones who made me interessted in cycling in the first place, of course cause they are norwegian like myself. And of course I follow the norwgian riders with a special interest.

Over the years I always liked Jens Voigt and Thomas Vockler, riders with a big heart, a lot of guts and good attitudes.

Samuel Sanches, Cadel Evens, Bradly Wiggens, Haussler, Freire, Pozzato, EBH, Gilbert are other riders i like.

I picked Bert, Phil and Bob.

I also like Igon Anton quite a bit, Tom Boonen, Lars Boom, Sylvain Chavanel and generally anyone not afraid to attack and make a race exciting(think Voekler, Casar, Fedrigo, Vino, etc.)
