Oldest Winner was 36.
from wikipedia
The oldest winner was Firmin Lambot ( Belgium), aged 36 in 1922. Next oldest were Henri Pélissier ( France) (1923) and Gino Bartali ( Italy) (1948), both 34

The oldest Tour de France cyclist is Henri Paret, who was 50 years when he competed in 1904 (topendsports.com

But I could not find answers to -

Who is the oldest person to take 2nd or 3rd (oldest to stand on the podium at the end of the tour)?

Who was the oldest to win any jersey other than the yellow?

Raymond Poulidor. 40 years old when he took 3rd place at the 1976 TDF.

More useless trivia

This time from the actual TdF official statistics page

Before 2009.......
Raymond Poulidor may not have won the Yellow Jersey, but he is the rider who stepped the highest number of times on the podium of the Tour (he finished 8 times in the Top 3!), more than Hinault, Zoetemelk, Ullrich and Armstrong (7), Garrigou, Anquetil and Merckx (6), LeMond and Indurain (5), Van Impe and L. Bobet (4).

http://www.letour.fr/2009/TDF/COURSE/us/histoire_statistiques.html

LeMond - 3rd in 1984, 2nd in 1985, 1st 1986, 1989 and 1990 - was in 1st in 1991 until losing out ultimately to Indurain. (and was out in 87/88 recovering from a gunshot wound...)

checking 2nd placings
several 32/33s

Jean Alavoine was 34 placing 2nd in 1922
Gino Bartali was 35 in 1949
Ferdi Kubler was 35 in 1954
Federico Bahamontes 35 in 1963
Joop Zoetemelk 35 in 1982

Raymond Poulidor "the eternal second" has to top both i think
second place three times, and in third place five times
oldest 2nd 38 in 1974
oldest 3rd 40 in 1976

Have an additional question along the same lines. Is Lance the first to finish on the podium 8 times. I believe that Zoetemelk, Ullrich and Poulidor each did it 7, can anyone confirm if Lance is the first to 8.

Honorable mention should also be given to Joaquim Agostinho who was 3rd twice in the TdF. In '78 at the age of 36 and in '79 at the age of 37 behind Hinault and Zoetemelk. Unfortunately he died from a fall sprinting for the finish at the end of a small race in Portugal in '84 at the age of 42.
