Yes, I think it matters that I don't message him specifically.

So you don't think death threats matter all that much since you think that calling someone a clown is just the same?
In any moment I said that but keep calling clown to people from your keyboard. What a miserable way to behave.

In any moment I mentioned death threats lol but there are many comments criticizing him with "bad names" and this just promote an environment of hate.
But keep calling riders as clowns.
Please quote those who only criticised people on the internet for calling THJ names and not the death threats he received.

My favorite rider of all-time is Greg Lemond, who was my hero in the eighties. I hated Hinault at the time, but now love him, Fignon as well (RIP). Then there was Stephen Roache and Sean Kelly, but I liked Delgado as well. Indurain spoiled the party, but you can't but salute Big Mig, however, Pantani got me off the couch shouting at the TV when he attacked in the mountains like none other. Loved Jan and always hoped he'd beat Armstrong alas, who I liked in 98, before I grasped how cruel and ruthless the guy was (the doping doesn't really matter in this sense). Contador was exciting, but now I'm rather blaise about the current crop, probably because Evenepole hasn't lived up to expectations. Not a fan of Pogacar with his entourage, Vingegaard is too boring.

Since I followed cycling:

Boonen (2005-retirement)

My passion started when I was on a school fair in 2005, one of the classrooms was blacked out with a livestream of Madrid showing on the projector. It was probably over 30° inside and filled with sweating beer drinking dads and their sons. It was an absolute shitter of a race but nobody in Belgium remembers that because in the end Boonen won. Second thing I remember of that day is that when he crossed the line all the dads threw their beers in the air and everybody was drenched in beer.

Devolder
From the same small sub-municipality where I grew up (Bavikhove)

Sep Vanmarcke
His dad was my maths teacher for one year in middle school.

Yves Lampaert
Like Devolder, a local boy from Ingelmunster which moved to Hulste (another sub-municipality which is part of the city I grew up in).

Those are the big ones, I've been a fan of multiple other riders like Landa, Remco, WVA, GVA, Veikkanen and MVDP but those listed above were my favorites above all.

In the 80s I liked Roche, Chiapucci, Bugno and Fignon Then I got bored of tours and switched allegiance to Belgian classics riders. So obviously Boonen and Gilbert but also Stybar (a kind of honorary Belgian). Current favourite rider is Remco.
