Who are these people voting for Chavanel? C'mon, the guy couldn't even win de RvV 2011 against a medicore rider like Nuyens, after Cance almost carried him towards the final 200m.

The guy is just one big disappointment

Chavanel isn't even participating in this year's MSR.

It makes the descent off the Turchino, La Manie and the Cipressa much more treacherous. Luck will play a huge part tomorrow.

Yes with 248 starters.....intense:eek:.

Thinking Sagan, he's got the form, he's got the skill, he's got everything it takes to win this type of race.
Would be just as happy with a Nibbles, Gilbert, or Cance victory though. Would be nice to see Santambrogio mixing it up with Nibali on the Poggio and Cipressa as well. And hoping Haussler has a good showing, he needs one.
Rain and snow should also make for some good racing.

Rain and snow will obviously be a big factor. No sprinters except for Greipel will deal with that.

Greipel dealing well with bad weather? You mean the guy who completely failed to win twice after good leadouts in the T-A because he was completely frozen?

There will be no sprinters left if it rains/snows. Survive the Poggio and the Hulk will finish it off, or loose the sprint to Sagan of course :D

#would be nice

a race with bad weather suits gilbert and cancellara well. But I think neither of these will take risks on the descents. Only sagan and nibali will.

I totally laughed my *** off at this! :D

Can't look past Sagan for tomorrow.

Yet...I still hope in Pozzato.

Hagen is a bit of an unknown quantity in this race, coming directly from altitude, instead of TA/PN. I guess he'll either be brilliant or rubbish..

I would be most happy if Boonen wins (unrealistic)
I would also be happy if either Nibali, Chavanel or Pozzato wins.
I wouldn't mind if Sagan wins
I hope neither Hushovd nor Canc wins.

Tomorrow, if the weather is bad, Nibbles will attack on Le Manie and pull a breakaway of about 10 other kamikazes, which he'll then drop on the Poggio and get an epic solo win :D:eek::D

Sagan is obviously the big favourite, but that doesn't mean he'll necessarily win. Cycling is not so straightforward, and certainly not MSR. My bet is: someone NOT sagan wins tomorrow.

Would love to see that. Something like in 2011 would be great. Weather will be awful so fingers crossed for acceptable Tv coverage.
