If piti wins it, it's one of the best seasons a rider had in the last 20 years. Would be more impressive than boonen '05 for example.

Once again it's gonna be Italy Va Belgium for the win. Norway won't control. Kristoff will fail. Degenkolb won't contest. Sagan will be the joker.

I have a little fear that spain will ruin race once again, they have valverde as strong final option and they can control race enough to put sprinters out and not let breakaways go
Italy will atack belgium hopefully too, in that case can be very promising

How can you hope for Kristoff or Matthews, who usually do nothing for a race? Both would be a total disaster.
Yeah, I don't know how you can root for such negative racers who relies on a boring sprint finale.

I'd rather have someone who is occasionally aggressive and attacks like Valverde or Kwaitkowski.

GVA or Stybar would be even better.

I voted sagan, I think the course suits him perfectly. He, Valverde and GVA are IMO also the guys who deserve a wc win, the most. However I hope for Nibali because that would probably mean a great race.

Generally I also don't hope that they win because that most likely means a bunch sprint, but I just want to remind you that his biggest win of the season, the ronde, was absolutely great and had nothing to do with a boring sprint.

Once again? :p

Did that ever happen in this century?

Like every 2nd year in average? just count Belgium and Italy winners in last 10 years :)

and even if they did not won they always have been close

I meant as in battling it between themselves. I read that wrong.

Cheers. :)

Kristoff.

Peerless in a sprint at the end of a long race.

Like in MSR?? :p

Sure, he was beaten there but if anything I would say MSR supports my point. He had to work so hard to get back in the group and then had very little respite before beginning his sprint too early. Degenkolb had the softest ride ever and still only just beat him.

I'll be happy if any of the Belgium riders win it. I can see it already, Benoit and Vanmarcke from waaay out, like 80 km, then Van Avermaet and Gilbert on the closing circuits and Boonen as a backup for the eventual final sprint.

Ooh men what a race it'll be :D

Seriously though I will also be happy with a Trentin, Degenkolb or Hagen win. I may also crack a smile if Sagan finally keeps one together on a big race!

I think Boonen will have to attack far out as well. He has no chance against the likes of Kristoff or Degenkolb in a sprint. And it's great to watch his long-range attacks from 50k to go or so.
