Arndt surprisingly slow - 4th place at first check. She'll get the help from the cars etc. from Vos who's going so slow.

This is even slow, even for Vos. In her best form she'd top 10 in a time trial.

Maybe a flat tire?

My thought also. Vos shouldn't lose so much over just 9k.

Armstrong first, but really doesn't look that good to me.

Let's hope Hughes picks up a medal here - would be great to see.

Or Vos just follows the rest of the Dutch athletes today: failing everyway

Our gold fencing candidate got owned in the 2nd round (by a german)
Our gold judo candidate Edit Bosch got thrown out in the quarter final...(by a german)
Our 8-man rowing team was nowhere near the (german) winners in rowing
And now Vos gets passed by, ofcourse, a german after barely 15km :D

Vos got a hangover? Gold partying too much? Arndt just flew by her.

Well in all fairness she wasn't a medal candidate and isn't a specialist. We expected a suprise after that strong road race. But today shows again a time trial is not a road race

Pooley way down on Zabelinska at the 2nd check, wonder if wind's changed for the later starters Hughes lost the same. Zabelinska will win this.

2nd section is much faster, no surprise little Emma is dropping away.
