She came out of retirement, and she had been struggling to get into shape (May collarbone broken or something) before the Olympics? She's the oldest medalist? 38/39 years old.

Pretty awesome she managed to pull this off to defend her Beijing title.

The two American fans made me laugh. One was going absolutely mental and the other one just kept looking at the camera as he was about to say "Go away, take that camera away. I don't want to be seen with that lunatic standing next to me."

Best moment of the day, already. If you're Dutch, that is. :D

We didn't get to see how long Armstrong got with the car, but probably a fair result but terrible seeding to put Vos there.

Average speed for Armstrong today: 46.3 kph (29k)

Average speed for Arndt in WC ITT last year 44.9 kph (27.8k)

Martin averaged 51.8 kph i Copenhagen. So, should we expect the winner today to reach around 53 kph? Given Martin exceptional performance last year, I think it will be more around 52 kph.

two bronze medals for Zabelinskaya! hasn't she done well after her road race efforts.

yes, she was a surprise to do so well in the itt...who knows, if she started having the advantage of knowing armstrong's splits, she may have been in silver.

not bad for a mother of 2 and an out of wed daughter of a gold olympic cyclist.

Struggling to get into shape not accurate - she dominated the woman's time trial this year in the Tour of CA (her time was faster than half the men's field), broke her collarbone in May, but showed good form in July in the Cascade classic by dominating it.

Are there any germans that can pass a Dutch guy during the time trial? Because we've been owned and beaten in all kind of sports by Germans today. :D

Grabsch starts only six minutes behind Westra.
