Olympics is always a bit nuts. Now we have Olympic ITT race without Porte, Bobridge, Tejay, Talansky, Tuft, etc. Bobridge and Porte were 5th and 6th last year in WC ITT, aussies are now putting Rogers and Evans on the start line, Canada Hesjedal instead of Tuft, etc. tanks to stupid rules. Funny stuff.

Cadel has pulled out, so just Mick apparently.

Larsson only one *. Severe back problems has hampered his build up for the Olympics ITT.

Even a wounded Cancellara must have at least ****.

Don't think EBH should be placed on the same level as Phinney and Pinotti. He hasn't done a good long ITT in a very long time.

Heard that. Shame that Porte isn't riding, sure, he is lighter this year so he has lost some power, but still, he showed in the last ITT in TdF that he is still a strong timetrialer

Didn't know that...

Phinney hasn't done a great long TT this year either to be fair.

Phinney has at least focused hard on ITT in the Olympics. EBH focus was on the road race, he hasn't done much time trial training this year. Shame really, he has potential to be a great timetrialist.

the british,in my opinion, were the strongest riders in the road race....but there were suicidal tactics and they were overestimating themselves big time.basically it was like a tommy voeckler going like a nutter alone for an hour on galibier chasing alberto and andy. only this time there were 4 of them.

they will be fueled with anger for the time trial.i can't see anything else than a 1-2 wiggo-froomy.

44k and fairly flat. Froome was faster than an injured Martin in TdF, but in DL, when Martin was uninjured, he was about 1 minute faster than Froome. Froome won't stand much of a chance against Martin on Wednesday. Or so I believe.

Is ITT a discipline which Vos doesn't dominate quite as much?

Bit like Valverde or something?

I'm tipping Froome for #1, I think he saved himself for the TT by dropping out earlier in the road race. And Martin and Cancellara have been beaten all year long by Wiggins, so I don't see why that should change now.

1.) Froome
2.) Wiggins
3.) Martin

No not like Valverde. Vos did get better at it and even wins time trials. But she's not a hot favorite. Last year she was 10th at the worlds ITT
However, last sunday there were a few ex-world ITT champions chasing and everyimte Vos took over they lost time :p so her form is surely amazing
