Just noticed there isn't a thread about this yet. There has already been a stage, which might influence decisions a bit but still, what do you think? Who will win?

Aru was one of the best GT riders of 2015, and other years he's been close.Brullnux said:It's an odd year, so an odd winner (Aru, Horner, Cobo...). Granted the list ends there but there is a precedent.
But was he really a favourite for the victory beforehand?bob.a.feet said:Aru was one of the best GT riders of 2015, and other years he's been close.Brullnux said:It's an odd year, so an odd winner (Aru, Horner, Cobo...). Granted the list ends there but there is a precedent.
He probably will, but he wasn't a favourite at the start of the 2015 race. Similar to Chaves now, so I think he has a good chance along with Kelderman and Pozzo.TMP402 said:Brullnux said:It's an odd year, so an odd winner (Aru, Horner, Cobo...). Granted the list ends there but there is a precedent.
Ouch, you think Aru will never win another GT?
In relative terms, not absolute terms. You'd have to be Pantani to actually improve and put out better watts during a double.rick james said:Froome has every chance of being stronger at this vuelta than he was the tour

Dumoulin not really (I'm guessing you mean 2017) the rest yesTMP402 said:Vasilis said:But was he really a favourite for the victory beforehand?bob.a.feet said:Aru was one of the best GT riders of 2015, and other years he's been close.Brullnux said:It's an odd year, so an odd winner (Aru, Horner, Cobo...). I wonder what the history of people being considered favourites before winning one is? Dumoulin 2016 Giro? Froome 2013 Tour, Wiggins 2012 Tour, Evans 2011 Tour?
Movistar believes Quintana doesBrullnux said:In relative terms, not absolute terms. You'd have to be Pantani to actually improve and put out better watts during a double.rick james said:Froome has every chance of being stronger at this vuelta than he was the tour
