Peter Sagan. He's going to be the new and improved Erik Zabel. Cav can kiss his dreams about green jersey goodbye when he'll decide to enter the Tour someday.

Tondo and Soler :(

+1
I really had high hopes for both of them. Would've been Tondo's first appearance at the biggest event in sport that he loved so much and Soler was having a career renaissance with his big stage win at the TdS. Movistar really had a fantastic one-two set for action at the Tour. I think either or both could've made top 10 in the gc and come away with a stage win.

can tell July's approaching...

voted Scarponi as I'd like to see him amongst the likes of Gesink, VDB2, Evans, etc... in that 2-10 position competition.
you only see him do the Giro and I'd like to see how he'd go against these others.

roll on the Vuelta....

The likes of Antón, we can see again in August. Maybe even in July for Donostia.

The likes of Tondó, will now never get to ride. It may be dwelling on the past, but I think the amount of similar points in the responses tell their own story.

I wont miss any of them in so far as I am glad to have seen/ will see them on top form at the Giro/Vuelta.

From the list mentioned though, Rodriguez or Nibali would be the most exciting at the Tour imo.

I'll kind of miss Haussler in the sprints. I know Farrar is the protected sprinter, but ever since the TDS crash last year with Cav, I want to see them head to head in a big race.

Duarte. Or just anyone able to attack like there was no tomorrow and care less about secondary placings.

The first week could have been good for Sagan. I'm sure he'll get plenty of opportunities in the future, though.

I voted for Sastre. I know his best days are behind him, but you have to admire a guy who can ride all 3 GTs in a year without complaining. I hope he gets to ride another TDF before he retires.

Robbie McEwen - always good for a quality post stage quote rather than the boring sporting cliche's most spew out

Yeah, I like his honesty. In the Tour years ago, he had an altercation with Armstrong. Can't remember what it was about. The next day, Armstrong when referring to McEwen, called him "the angry ant."

Did anyone else who voted 'other' find themselves in a completely different thread once the vote was submitted?
