Did anyone else who voted 'other' find themselves in a completely different thread once the vote was submitted?
That happened when I voted for Sagan.

Of those mentioned, only really Sagan and Rodriguez. There's plenty of stages where those 2 would have featured prominently. All of the others would have been nice, but would have just added to the list of GC guys who won't get anywhere near Andy or Bertie.

It's a really fabulous Tour line up though. The world's best 3 GC riders, the 3 best TTers, best 3 sprinters and best Classics rider will all be there.

Voted for Sagan. Would have loved to see him go up against Gilbert. But, alas, it was not to be, at least not this year.

I hope that Peter Sagan, John Degenkolb and Michael Matthews are ready to ride the Tour next year. Time to bring in the next generation of sprinters and knock Cavendish off his perch!

none of them are quicker.
More versatile already tho. Much more complete riders whom are green jersey material.

in terms of speed, Guardini is one to look out for.

I'd much rather see more versatile sprinters in the Boonen/Freire/Haussler/Zabel mould than trainsurfers like Cavendish any day. None of them are quicker atm, but don't forget that Matthews, Degenkolb and Sagan are all only 20/21.

Guardini does look real fast and Appollonio is showing some promise too. I have a feeling that Cavendish and Gilbert will really be challenged by these 5 guys as early next year. Can't wait until they are ready for GT's!

I think Sagan is a while away from challenging Gilbert in the proper hills.

He would've been closer on the weaker ramps like the couple of stages in this year's Tour though.

Probably, but I'd say that Liquigas has made the right choice holding Sagan back for the TdF this year. I'd like to see him ride this year's Vuelta though.

Annoyed to not see Nieve riding for support for Samu in the mountains. When they announced his team i think everyone would have been upset with their rider quality.
Upset also that Busche is not riding ( reminds me of the 1999 story when MJ could not ride as he was an all rounder " in the US Champions jersey ) Also upset for Hermans and Rast. It's things like this RS team and Sky's TDF team that should make for either more teams either at the TDF or more riders of utmost quality allowed. Matt Hayman should be there as well.

Valverde, Tondo and Soler: Movistar could have been quite a team...

Don't forget Rubén Plaza. He was 12th last year and has been out since early March after a terrible leg injury in the Vuelta a Murcía. Obviously his woes pale into insignificance against Soler's and especially Tondó's, but that's another very solid rider that Movistar could have had.

And the rider I miss the most is of course Breschel. From the list I would like to see Anton and Sagan. Seems like Sagan is capable of filling bigger shoes by now, and the first week suits him well.
