If at your workplace an incident occurs and management (or whoever) is trying to get to the bottom of it (and you were the one at fault but don't want people to find out) when you get questioned about it or other people even discuss this 'hypothetical' event, your going to find it pretty stressful.

If your innocent and people keep making insinuations against you again and again, then you might also get pretty annoyed with the same questions repeatedly.

In the light of this the fact he gets annoyed prooves nothing either way.

[EDIT] Dont be late Pedro has already said this, great minds and all that :)

MAJORITY of people in this situation tend to react with apathy rather than aggression, 'nothing I can do/say can convince you I didn't do it' etc. Of course not everyone is going to react like this however lots of dopers have shown similar traits when accused in the past.

And you, of course, have data to back this claim up?

Not if your innocent and people are constantly making insinuations against you, I think the majority would react like Wiggins.

No no hard studies, just observed over the years - people/celebrities in the media and also in my own life (work mainly) vast majority of these people have been 'get to the top as quickly and via whatever means possible' types of people.

So anyway. The person Wiggins is (was?) in love with, who had such a dramatic impact on Wiggins' financial gain, is about to appear on Oprah.

Pariah + Oprah = ?

If all is forgiven and forgotten, can Wiggins resume his public love affair with the man who did so much for professional cycling?

Will there be a reconciliation between the Don and the new kid on the block?
Is one even necessary?

Surely the statistic of the % of tour winners involved in doping scandals would temper that anger quite a lot of make you understand where the insinuations are coming from.

Nobody, in the Clinic, for instance, reacts with apathy when discussing Wiggins.

You would think that people who are stopped by the police using your same reasoning would also be just as understanding. And yet...

We're raking over old ground here really, yet again.

Wiggins' rant was a long way from his finest hour, but entirely in keeping with his grumpy and slightly volatile nature. As yellow jersey wearer he had a press conference to do after every stage, where inevitably every night he was asked about PEDs. While of course clinic endorsed behaviour is to simply sit there and accept it, show contrition for the sport's history or ideally own up, Wiggins got a bit grumpy called everyone names and made himself public enemy no.1 to the clinic, hence the plethora of his and Sky threads.

Had he adopted clinic endorsed behaviour he would getting an easier ride like for example Contador or Evans, but he didn't and so ever since posters here have been trying their utmost to morph him into Lance Mk2

That's way off the mark. Sky had been closely scrutinized long before that. In fact, by the Dauphiné most hardliners thought they were ridiculous, while some said we should wait for the Tour since the Dauphiné by itself is meaningless.

Yes old ground but reacting like that really does make it look like there is something to hide even if there is not, just like many of the other things Sky have done.

Yes Sky were being scruntinised after that Daupine stage where about four of them were together at the top of a tough climb having dropped most of the contenders apart Evans, but it without Wiggins' rant it wouldn't have stretched out to multiple threads saying the same thing and a 11,000-post main thread.

Unless you want me to say it's because they're a British team and the majority of anti posters here are Australian who, lets face it, are hardly forthcoming in praising British sporting success. :p

Wigans had no idea Armstrong was a GIGANTIC fraud when he proclaimed his love?

The denizens of the clinic are the only people who think someone in Wiggo's position should be understanding of the "suspicions?

You're being ridiculous..

No you are with you giant red gigantic. And also the thought process that meant you responded like that to a post where I was discussing Wiggins' press conference and the subsequent attention he attracts here.

Also that second sentence really doesn't make much sense.

D- back to school

Wiggins and Lance

If old ground wasnt raked up...a certain Lance would still be sitting with all his millions.

Wiggins rants = the Lance rants that we have all heard.

ps. can anyone find footage of Wiggins on the Paris-Nice podium thanking Lance...cant find it anywhere.

That type of BS we heard from the mouths of Armstrong/Stapleton/Bruyneel about anyone who questioned Armstrong's performances.

I think when Brailsford put together the 'tome' for Sky he used Bryuneel's old one.

Oh, ok! Read the second sentence again. It makes sense except to the Sky fan club.

Edit, just for you, on the second sentence.

Scandals result in distrust. Wigans should understand that Sky's, USPS-like, dominance might result in some suspicions. You don't agree?

Does anyone have footage of the raffle draw after the Tour podium presentation in Paris last year? Wiggins said it was time to draw the raffle, so it must have happened, mustn't it?

I don't know whether he said it on the podium, but Wiggins certainly did credit Armstrong with giving him advice after he won Paris-Nice...

"I know the history of the sport and to be on that list and to become the second Brit after Tom Simpson to win Paris-Nice means a lot for me," said Wiggins. "I'm on that list of riders who won Paris‑Nice, the Dauphiné. There's just one left now to win."

... "I don't know if I'm a favourite [for the Tour] but I'm one of maybe five riders who can do something there [overall] this summer. I said Paris-Nice was a stepping stone, no disrespect for Paris-Nice. But I must continue that progression to July now. Lance Armstrong warned me recently not to burn too many matches for July. It's certainly a long trail."

That he did, but I think a lot is being read into that comment that wasn't being said. Not that I have much more insight to the tortured thought processes of Sir Bradley than anyone else. Who really knows why he says what he says?

50 pages

hard to believe 50 pages of this 'waste of space' thread..............what

can be added to the massive sky thread?

i read members desire to match brad with lance.................not helped

by brads unfortunate choice of words...............'i love lance' when he was

only showing admirition for lances success

ever heard lance blow a gasket in reply as brad did? no lance's replies were

always carefully considered
