I was looking forward to getting his booty kicked by the real climbers, and answering the tough questions actually. On top of that Nibali is not going either. Now I have no reason to watch the Tour. :(

In this country people think him and Froome are a shoe in for another 1-2 next year. I was desperately waiting for next year too :(

Don't like to call names but he's being a coward.

He can bull**** whatever he want but we all know why he's not riding the tour.

He says he won the biggest thing, if he really wants to prove something then try and win against the best.

Pfff...

Seriously now we might have to miss Contador teaching Wiggins what real climbing is. If he really doesn't go to tour 2013 we will miss that extra dimension.

It still has a lot of potential but it could have been that bit more.

Of course Wiggins would have no chance to win but you wanna see that right? ;)

Lol they're talking about him that he'll be a legend when he wins the 3 GT.

"The Giro is a different one, it is a different kettle of fish. But if anyone can do it Brad can.

WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT HIM????

The only guy about who we can say "if anyone can it's him" it's Contador, well in a GT at least.

Pathetic, just pathetic. If i still had any respect for Sky it's gone.

Btw Contador won the giro after 1 week preparation, rival that ;)

Pff he won't win Giro, the climbers there will crush him on the hard climbs (well he might have a chance if the rumours that there will be100 km of tt are correct), and in la Vuelta Alberto will beat him :)

Like they crushed Hesjedal this year? If Hesjedal can win the Giro, Wiggins certainly can too, duh...And Alberto doing a TDF/Vuelta double ? Didn't work too well for Froome this year and Bertie's 2011 Giro/TDF double either. Does throw a bit of a monkey wrench in the system, that's good.

Which climbers? Nibali? I like the dude but he's not a real climber.

Basso is too old, I hope andy will ride it to get in some rythm but i doubt he'll have a good shape then. You know he only has form in july and that one day in april ;)

Maybe purito, but he can't put up real big gaps and he always seems to mess up.

Hesjedal, well yeah...

But ok we'll see, still way too early to judge.

The only wrench in the system I'm looking forward to is anyone or anything that mucks up Sky's plans of "domination".

How am I gonna say this...

Alberto > Froome

His stats certainly prove that, however that doesn't change the fact that he faded in the 2011 TDF after his Giro win and that no one's been able to do an honest double since Hinault in 1985.

1. That Giro was pretty hard
2. Alberto crashed multiple times
3. He injured his knee (and a lot more but mostly his knee)
4. He had to waste energy trying to win back the time he lost on stage 1

Anyway, I believe Alberto has a bigger chance to win la Vuelta than Wiggins

Contador won't do the vuelta though. Its all about the tour for him.next year. Honestly i don't see who can stop wiggins. Nibali seems like the only one and that happens to be the 1 top gc guy that wiggins did actually beat at the tour.

He'll do la Vuelta, it was also the plan for this year

I don't understand the honest double comment. Please clarify. What was wrong with the doubles by Indurain and Pantani?

Wiggins is already a legend.

Maybe not the Merckx, Anquetil, Indurain, Hinault, Coppi kind of legend, but objectively his Olympic track medals and Tour win are all he needs.

Outside GB his track results will be forgotten. You never hear people talk about Lars Boom's exploits in the cross, but when it comes to Wiggins' track achievements...

Multiple gold medals on olympics >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Anything Lars Boom did on cross

These are not even comparable at all

You can enjoy his *** being handed to him by Nibali at the Giro.:D

If nibali can't do it at the tour, why at the giro?

Nibali never proved to be a great climber but he has more chance though. The descents will be crazy ;)

It'll depend on the exact course of giro '13

Maybe those results will be forgotten in time outside of the UK. Maybe he'll be doomed to being one of those one-Tour winners sometimes forgotten when people list the winners over the years. But in the UK, he'll still be golden. And while he may not be in the pantheon of all time greats, he's still done enough to have his place in history, whether you or I like it or not. And Boom is not comparable, unless he metamorphoses into a GC contender.

You never hear people in Spain or Mexico waxing lyrical about Ole Einar Bjørndalen, but it doesn't stop him being a legend.

Remember the Giro is a different kettle of fish.;)

But Nibali never showed he's better when it's 10% in comparison when it's only 6,7 % at the tour. Purito on the other hand proved that.

Nibali never even dropped Wiggins, not even on a climb of 7km with 9% average, so yeah...

He consistently kicked Nibali's bumbum up and down the calandar this year :p
