That and maybe the statute of limitations on past achievements ....

well firstly why would he care at this stage if it will "all come out eventually..." anyway the court of public opinion would damn him regardless of the authorities attempting to clear his past achievements if it turned out they seriously broke the rules, which would then be worthless to him to try to protect, and he often says his past achievement hold no value to him anyway, though I think thats just his attitude to things in general, youll never see him post a picture sitting under his winning TdF yellow jersey framed, probably because he doesnt even remember where it is anymore, let alone frame it.

however aiui UKAD limits it to 10 years, WADA might be the same or still 8 not sure.

either way jiffygate happened 14 years ago, he left Sky 10 years ago, so whats he got to lose ?

its a weird thing with autobiographies since the 2000s really imo, and maybe its the over reliance on ghost writers who arent very good at writing these things,or publishers are too fearful of libel cases, but they pull their punches, they dont really hit the key controversies head on, theyre not tell all tales or confessionals anymore.

I bet this latest book barely lifts the lid even a tiny fraction on those events, which I feel short changes the public who will buy it.
