It's hard to find a black cat in a dark room, especially if the cat is not there

I like this saying :S

I am starting to think wiggins will be the clear favourite for the tour win can't see any one stopping him, sky are unstoppable

I take it that this is the supposedly offensive quote:

“You had to have the legs to be in that group today,” Wiggins said, who pipped Valverde to win a three-second bonus in the day’s lone sprint in the final hour of racing. “I see Levi and Tejay as the two most dangerous rivals. Levi is always dangerous. You can never discount him. And Tejay is a strong, young rider. Valverde is still close, but there were a lot of big names who were not there."

If so, I will join the chorus of others who fail to see anything disrespectful or inappropriate in it.

He may have better palmares but he got them all by cheating. Wiggins has probably won more clean than Valverde ever will.

What's up Calimero?

Zij zijn groot en ik is klein, en da's niet eerlijk, o nee.

If he stays healthy and gets his peaks and troughs right he will be a clear favourite along with Evans. I think his early crash out in last year's TDF when he looked in great shape and in 10 times better form than 2010 deprived us of an insight of what might have been (talking podium contender). Thomas is a beast though and will be missed in the windy echelons and cobbles of the first week.

I'd love to see Levi win and watch people rage :D

This! :D

Can't say as I'm a big fan, but I've never gotten the hate. While he doesn't seem to have what it takes for the grand tours, Leip is a very strong one week stage racer who's shown in recent years that he's always a threat to win these races. He knows his strengths and weaknesses well and rides accordingly. Some people don't like his style of racing. Oh well. A win is a win.

I've got to give Wiggins his just due. He's showing much respect for the proud history of Paris-Nice by showing up in competitive form and a steely focus. This should be an intriguing week. Leipheimer seems to be in good form too as is Valverde. Now if I could figure out what channel on direcTV it's on then I'll be a happy man.:(:)

Can we please change the name of this thread or at least can someone make a wiggins appreciation thread, because its becoming increasingly apparent that most people only have really good things to say about Wiggins.

I don't know why this post isn't in your beloved clinic.

You cry, throw insults (at everyone, often blaming every single poster in the clinic for any post you dont like) and even threaten legal action when people in the clinic (the correct place for such things btw) speculate whether a rider is doping or not and yet you have no problem wandering into the non doping section and making unproven allegations regarding Valverdes 2006-2010 results.

Though thanks for giving us an even bigger reason to cheer for Valverde in every race this season.

Mug.

The man's a proven cheat. Everything he has done is without merit. He has to start again from scratch.

I was responding to someone who thought that Wiggins owed him some sort of respect on the basis of his stolen palmares.

That sentence was too brilliant to translate, it's a classic. :)

But I will do it anyway:

They are big and I is small, and that's not fair, o no.
