Very true, but the thing I was highlighting was a very simple road race style crash, ended up with a rider falling down a ravine, at which point it's not in anyone's control what happens next.Wolff's crash was visible on camera, so I hope assistance would have come to her a lot sooner, if it had been serious, which it fortunately wasn't.
Swiss tabloid Blick writes now that she might not have been discovered for a long time. If that is the case I hope this accident is investigated in detail.
But it shouldn't be, her team support should have known where she was on the road and spotted she was missing imo.Would a race radio have helped here? If you get knocked unconscious on impact and thus cannot give any info to your team.
Incredibly tragic and feels like it could be avoided. But apart from having enough cars for each rider, it seems difficult to detect crashes by riders who are all alone.
No. But a risk assessment & having marshals on hand would've. If Adam had a basic sense of decency, he'd resign.Would a race radio have helped here? If you get knocked unconscious on impact and thus cannot give any info to your team.

Gross, I hate even contemplating that (your last sentence).No. But a risk assessment & having marshals on hand would've. If Adam had a basic sense of decency, he'd resign.
Hopefully the family will sue the *** out of a lot of people. Sadly all that will happen is Adam will get several mountain stages at the Giro cancelled due to rain citing 'lessons learned' & go on holiday for the rest of the year.
