Which to some 'tykes' isn't the same thing - 'God's own country' and all that.......
She is not a Visma rider yet and she has no connection with the team. She's still racing in a small family team this year and rides the bike she buys for herself.
She had a crash in the European championship, I don't know if it's a result of that or it's a new accident. I will find out later if there will be an interview with her in the media.Do you know anything about what had happened to her face?
I mean, I assume she must have crashed somewhere and not had a shaving accident.
She's from Skipton, I thought Tykes meant Barnsley or am I missing something?Which to some 'tykes' isn't the same thing - 'God's own country' and all that.......

It's unmistakedly Yorkshire, but certainly not a thick Yorkshire accent. Seems like about half of our cyclists are from Yorkshire - Cat, Imogen Wolff who finished 5th, Pidcock, Deignan, Swiftx2, Blythe, Watson and Hollyman who are coming through now, plenty of others, past and present. It's very popular there.Which country is Cat from? And her accent/region? She talks like a 40 y/o. Like her voice don’t match her age or something.
Soccer is another county all together. She's from Skipton, I thought Tykes meant Barnsley or am I missing something?
Yeah I just meant her voice is deeper than I imagined. Like she’s way older, not a girly voice. She’s gonna be a star for sure.I now what you mean by her sounding like a 40 year old. She's a very confident young girl. She's got the talent and the looks to be a massive star, for sure.
It must be a rather recent one. She didn't look like that after the ITT.

According to the Danish commentators, it might "just" have been a nose bleed, and judging from the photos, it looks like it.
Skipton and Barnsley are in Yorkshire. She's from Skipton, I thought Tykes meant Barnsley or am I missing something?
Yorkshire has for many years been a hotbed for bike racing. It's unmistakedly Yorkshire, but certainly not a thick Yorkshire accent. Yorkshire, gods own countryWhich country is Cat from? And her accent/region? She talks like a 40 y/o. Like her voice don’t match her age or something.
Yeah, she crashed early in the race, around 4 kilometres. It must be a rather recent one. She didn't look like that after the ITT.
what happened?
“She suffered a serious head injury and is in a very critical condition,” the UCI said in a statement.Swiss junior rider in 'very critical condition' after crash at World Championships

I wouldn’t be surprised if this proves to be true. Look at how long it took for a medial team to attend to Withen Philipsen.Swiss tabloid Blick writes now that she might not have been discovered for a long time. If that is the case I hope this accident is investigated in detail.
Yes, but still reading the article I get the feeling she was missing for hours before anyone started searching.I wouldn’t be surprised if this proves to be true. Look at how long it took for a medial team to attend to Withen Philipsen.
