Gery's gone now, but she's possibly still affected by that Watersley crash. A bit weird that both Ostiz here and Ferguson a year ago and today have been riding on Movistar Canyons, but Wolff's been using Specialized bikes this week rather than Visma Cervélos, and Chladoňová's also on some random bike.
It’s mostly about sponsor contracts I guess. Or some riders like to ride the WC on the bike they’re using the rest of the year instead of the one from their next team.

The Visma women's team isn't as dialed-in as their men's team.

I'm impressed by Megan Arens today. First year junior, clearly has a lot to learn tactically and technically, but a real powerhouse. Probably helped a bit by the weather.

great win for Ferguson. British Cycling youngsters are there to stay
Yeah, well, that remains to be seen. Look at the utterly dominant Zoe Backstedt who isn't that special among the pros. Cat Ferguson has a good kick on her though, that's a really big weapon.

Megan Arens rode a rather "dumb" race, but Ortiz rode a bit too "smart" for my liking. Good that she didn't win in the end.

She is not a Visma rider yet and she has no connection with the team. She's still racing in a small family team this year and rides the bike she buys for herself.
