What a joke, for the entirety of Nibali's peak we had two WCs that suited him and he had a broken back for one of them; he retires and we get like four in a row
Even one of them that suited them got ruined by a stupid murito.

Also, Martigny getting canceled due to COVID

Tbh, 2031 is reported to be in Trentino, so I xpect a rather tough course as well, making it 5 in 8.

What is the expected temperature on Sunday in Kigali? Was only 24C for the women’s TT. Even when Remco won that was 26C. Not that hot knowing what we can see in July in France.
The riders are saying that it does not feel that hot when they're not doing anything or only doing easy training rides (as the temperatures themselves are indeed not extreme) but once they do intensive efforts it's apparently a lot more difficult to cool down because of the humidity and some are definitely struggling with that.

In Zurich, Lotte Koppeky won, Jan Christen collapsed after attacking early, and won a big rider.
The men's elite race was very different.

It's very difficult to take these categories as a reference.

Paula Blasi looked very good today after a mediocre time trial. Adapting to the altitude and pollution may have been important.

Del Toro is going to be interesting to see what he can manage to do here vs bigboys to me. I agree with everyone saying its too long for him based on what he's proven so far etc, but with someone as talented as Torito, its only a matter of time its that until it isn't simultaneously, curious how he will perform.

End of season always usually tend to be harder to gauge imo and always a surprise and two, not easy to know who has much left in the tank opposed to mid and early season where its more straightforward.

Optimistic and realistic are often really close! He was successful in Italy but had an off day there also. I think the race route really suits him.. We will see..hope for the best.

27C, but feels like 33C, and combined with humidity 52%
I would not think 27C and 50% humidity would be exactly extreme conditions. To Cookster's point, these are pros who have to ride in much hotter conditions.

Altitude will be a much bigger factor in attrition. 5,000 feet is plenty. There will be attrition.

I’ve been wondering about this. 27C is manageable, even comfortable, but are they all really familiar with humidity on a functional level? There are humid days where people I train with regularly will overheat and ( as some people have mentioned), have to stay at a minimum so they don’t go hotter.

He finished a GT on the podium so I'm not worried about his endurance. He's my pick to win.

Spain is bringing back Valverde for their main guy, with Ayuso as the helper.
