Above all I hope that we get a great race.
The last three Worlds were won by the favourites, Remco Evenepoel in 2022, Mathieu van der Poel in 2023 and Tadej Pogacar in 2024, so chances that we get a surprise winner like on the women's race yesterday are small.
Biggest favourite has to be Pogacar. Its true that he didn't look good in the TT but the route suits him really well and he looked got in Montreal so I think that he will be ready but will need to be very attentive of early moves because the Slovenian team is not stellar.
Remco is the second favourite for me. I don't think the course is that good for him as there is not that much flat but he is in great shape and has a strong Belgian team to back him.
Pidcock is my third favourite. I think the route suits him decently, he comes in great shape from the Vuelta and already showed the endurance to challenge for these longer races unlike riders like Del Toro or Ayuso. Healy and Skjelmose are two other riders that I will keep under my radar too.
