It is rolling terrain here and the climbs are not long, nor steep.

I think it suits someone like Remco much more, who has the team for it as well.

Again, it just seems like you are projecting Rick. From your wording and how you are building it up. Please, explain more so I can understand.

I dont doubt Pog could win, but I dont think it will be as dominant or play out as you seem to think. Nor do I really believe this how you feel and it is just a narrative you want to paint.
Pogacar is the favorite in De Ronde and he finished second in his first Paris-Roubaix against
the best or second best in the history of that race. They are very different terrains from Lombardy. He is not only the favorite in a race like Lombardia

I have more doubts about his shape, but this terrain suits him perfectly.

Are you both referring to me as a 'less serious' poster because I am predicting that a double world champion who won a WT race a week ago will be a dark horse? Respect my expert knowledge!!

Just to add to that this fine athlete was beaten by Rogla at LBL and Duplantis with his pole wouldn't stand a chance in Planica.

I've added the poll. If people wonder why Roglic isn't part of that list, it's because I just looked at the top 9 most favourable to win according to a betting site. I personally think Roglic will ride top 5.

This one might come back and haunt you.

Would any of those who were in Canada be favorites on Sunday? I think none.
Simmons had an incredible Tour, but I don't think he's a top contender for WC.

Maybe by saying this I just gave him luck and he won. :tearsofjoy:

McNulty won the overall in Luxembourg because of the ITT, but he didn't look as strong against Healy and Gregoire.
What TDF did you watch?
Quinn Simmons raced like a complete goon going off the front with zero result.. Slamming his handlebars, yelling at riders to work.. Again bunch of theatrics but no result. He gave not 1 but 2 media interviews that were clearly insubordination, calling his team tactics dumb during the race. Then through same drama mechanism had an imaginary award given for the guy that acts most combative.. No jersey just American media pretending that in the TDF they give participation awards for trying really hard..that's a thing in little league baseball maybe, trying counts.
Simmons in recent interview encourages riders act out, he described Pogacar- Vingegaard dynamic as boring, bike racing metrics have them w 150 professional wins, including grand tours, world championship.
So what is Quinn thinking is important in bike racing? Sure he could be right, maybe bike racing is looking for a Ted Nugent, CarrotTop hybrid.. For the sake of American embarrassment, I was relieved during another Simmons theatrical masterclass that his girlfriend said yes when he knelt down to ask for her hand in marriage. Rwanda is another opportunity for the clown like American to put the rubber to the road and leave with a victory. He does have 7 pro wins and is pursuing Ving and Pog, and from media reports and self promotion he will catch and pass both.. with style. His interview on CUTD is another point of shame.

McNulty has 2 stage race GC victories this year.. He has 20 pro wins.
.Healy is a charming little guy! Outwardly pleasant.. He has 2 stage wins this year, 10 pro wins, media darling.
Gregoire has had a great season had first win in March and still going well.. He has 12 pro wins..to McNulty's 20

If we are talking Mount Kigali level of event then separation by either Pogi or Remco doesn't sound that plausible approach, unless nations will really be drilling it up to that point, Slovenia likely won't. Reduction of the group on the other hand most likely outcome, second most likely split and two groups.
