Maybe, I said before that in this race with no radios, frantic feeding with problematic conditions , can't rely on pro tactics,
Remco should have listened to himself in his Cycling News interview.. Follow Pogacar and Del Toro..his mistake was minor.. Del Toro playing the role of Wout when he acted as pacing mule for Yates.. Remco was(is) super strong just made a mental mistake. Remco was listening to techno- house BS music instead of reading Cycling News and all female pros saying that small errors cost them an opportunity if not the race.
Remco raced like a monster, he was great, just didn't close that one gap, didn't stay on that one wheel.. In no world can Isaac Del Toro ride Remco off his wheel.. Ayuso maybe but not Remco..
Just a momentary lapse of concentration cost him the jersey

First of all, I congratulate the Rwanda Worlds organisers that gave a lesson in how to do a bike race to more 'developed' countries.
Pogačar what to say, he is simply incredible, perfect race to get his second world title and I won't be surprised if he wins the next two as well and becomes the first rider to win four WCRR titles.
Great to see Remco back at his best in a road race, despite his bad luck and lack of cool was still clearly the best of the rest making Pogačar push himself.
Huge bronze medal for Ben Healy the crowns what has been a fantastic season for the Irishman. In a world of aliens he is one of the strongest humans.
Tough for Skjelmose to leave without a medal but he just lacked a bit of stamina in the last lap, good ride nonetheless.
Big top5 for Toms Skuijns, he has been one of the most consistent riders in world championships lately and this course didn't even favoured him.
Good to see the ambition of Del Toro and Ayuso but as I expected, they still need to improve their endurance a bit more but still get a top10.
Huge top10 for Eulálio, he has been one of the revelations of this season and today showed that he has a pretty big engine.
Finally a word about Paul Seixas, top15 in the WCRR at 19 is a massive result and should give him a lot of confidence for the future, well done!

If you don't think he had a chance you didn't watch the race..don't know the average speed or kilometers but I would bet that after he realized his screwup..Remco was in the wind absolutely drilling it trying to chase, probably as fast and farther than his performance to secure rainbow in ITT..lots of little mistakes added up, but Remco was as strong as anyone in Rwanda
He saw Tom Boonen in the crowd, they went to a daytime disco met up with some Peruvians and sampled some of their marching powder

Yeah, no. Evenepoel was clearly weaker than Pogacar. He was unlucky, I do agree, but Pogacar was clearly the strongest today and he deservedly won.
Evenepoel had no chance 1 on 1 with Pogacar.
Maybe, just maybe, with Van Wilder and some tactical moves, early breaks... something could have happened, but Evenepoel wasn't as strong as Pogacar. He was having way more moto's assistance being group 2 as well.

He got a stomach bug. Some said diharrea leading up to the race. He knew he couldnt finish and did some meme attack on lap 2 and quit.

The difference that Del Toro was behaving normal when it happened to him while Evenepoel was acting like a mad man yet again when something doesnt go his way.

Interesting. Because he has a bit of a fit during a race, his explanations when asked direct questions in post-race interviews about what happened...are "excuses". But for others it's fine.

you realize he complained no more than pog after the ITT -- in fact, I would argue less, he was pretty matter-of-fact about stuff like that can happen.
is he not allowed to be disappointed a few seconds after he crosses the line. jeez.

It sounds like the result should possibly be asterisked due to multiple riders having sore butts, either from diarrhea or from riding on the wrong saddles.
