A while ago, I spent some time at the Strathclyde University building located right on Montrose Street... Absolutely shocking gradients... Very short ramp, but you cannot enter it with a lot of speed because of the 90° turn just before.
With all the sharp turns in these short city streets, riders beyond the 20th - 30th position in the peloton are bound to make the elastic snap after a few loops of the circuit already.
I expect a crazy race on Sunday. Remco is a true circuit rider, this should be perfect for him.

I disagree with this based on what I saw in the last races held here and speeds riders were entering at. George street is 4 lanes wide and so is Montrose Street so there won't be much compression. It'll be a bit of an issue for larger groups, and the weather may play some part, but riders weren't even braking when entering that corner.

Dunblane is basically the posh bit of Stirling, along with Bridge of Allan.

It was pointed out earlier that the ProTeam riders have been granted their visum, whereas the WorldTour riders haven't. I would not be shocked if some moron at the Home Office saw the word 'Pro' on three applications but not the four others and decided that that meant only the former three would be allowed entry.

Maybe they fear he might leave his 1 million a year contract with Intermarche and join Saint Piran

I'm a bit disappointed they didn't come into Glasgow from the south; ricocheting around some of the steep hills in the Clyde Valley would have made for a chase difficult to organise.
