Many good points here. But russians fighting the good fight to defend themselves will not stop before they or their opponents drop. And since its more or less defending home ground against imperialistic intruders, the morale will be highest.

If the war extends, either some US cities will be nuked away as needful revenge (nuclear counter attack against the Peacekeepers and Minutemen), or (if no nuclear escalation happens) at least the intruding soldiers (or puppet mercenaries) of the imperialists will lose big time like the germans did in Stalingrad.

This wont be a walk over like in Iraq I ...

But, BUT, BUT, you said there were no Russian troops in Ukraine?

You are in the wrong country. I am SURE, if you get on a train(if it's running) and go east, the 'freedom fighters' would love another in their midst. Hand you an old AK-47, a couple of magazines and off you go. Or maybe like the Russians were armed in WWII, with no weapons.

Watch Enemy at the Gates.

Didnt say that... But since you came up with it: Yes, there are no Russian troops in Ukraine as USA has nothing to do with the putsch of the elected Ukraine president. ;)

BTW, I am in the best and right country. Its our politicans that spoil it in favour of US & big oil interests. But let me asure you: Germans can take a lot (as Russians can). But only so much. When its enough, its enough, and all those spinless Vaterlandsverraeter-politic-clowns will run, run, run very far. Especially the sickos from the Green Party & Merkel = IM Erika.

a very interesting analytical piece...

Germany Emerges
https://www.stratfor.com/weekly/germany-emerges

describes imo impassionately and factually why germany is responsible for the crisis (both in the ec and eastern europe), how it now, sobered by the russian and greece push-back, is trying to backpedal and the reasons the us is not going to let germany to succeed independently. (about the author. i read him regularly b/c of his admirable, analytical bend of mind. he's imo an old style republican, certainly not a neocon...)
..The Germans supported anti-Yanukovich demonstrators and had very close ties to one of the demonstration leaders, current Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko, who received training in a program for rising leaders sponsored by the Christian Democratic Union ? Merkel's party. The Germans condemned the Russian annexation of Crimea and Moscow's support for the Ukrainian secessionists in the east. Germany was not, perhaps, instrumental in these events, but it was a significant player.
As the Germans came to realize that this affair would not simply be political but would take on a military flavor, they began to back away from a major role
Thus, she came to Washington looking to soften the American position. But the American position came from deep wells as well...But the deeper well was the fact that for a hundred years, since World War I, through World War II and the Cold War, the United States had a single rigid imperative: No European hegemon could be allowed to dominate the Continent, as a united Europe was the only thing that might threaten national security. Therefore, regardless of any debate on the issue, the U.S. concern about a Russian-dominated Ukraine triggered the primordial fear of a Russian try at hegemony. It was ironic that Germany, which the United States blocked twice as a hegemon, tried to persuade the United States that increased military action in Ukraine would not solve the problem.

putin is an authoritarian ruler whose ideology is a mix of the special brand nationalism (not the 'mother-russia' as it was for 1000 yeras but some 'new russian world') plus the christian orthodox religion . he's a real benevolent modern tsar genuinely popular with his people. all the political parties there, except the communists, are phony, yet putin's party has deep and real grass roots.

i say this b/c, imo there is a dangerous misunderstanding in the usa (less so in western and central europe) of what drives the formerly impoverished soviets to group around a new 'monarch'.

it is simple - he brought their every day lives in order, raised their living standard compared to the 80's and 90's anarchy.

in ANY liberal democracy people would grow dead tired from the 15 years of the same face. but russia isn't a democracy in our sense, never was and never will be. i have come to a personal conviction, it will not work there and they don't really need it. why ? b/c the very vastness of that land presumes a strong, central authority that is widely perceived as caring. the day that central authority weakens, the county will effectively disintegrate.

the crimean crisis, the eastern ukraine civil war are the result of the russian elites trying either to prevent such disintegration or to preempt it.

they genuanly believe that the nato moving east is an existential threat. that's my read. i dont think vlad is worried about his rating yet by needing the war for distraction. that's a western person's paradigm, though, yes, it may apply anywhere.

putin is a oprichnina. Well not really since that word describes the time period correct? And he is not quite Ivan. But in the eyes of some in the west he is.

....file under muddying the waters....

"The 'exclusive' photos of 'Russian invasion in Ukraine' in 2014 turned out to be easily found in the Web, with at least one of them dating back to 2008. Now, US senator James Inhofe is furious with the Ukrainian delegation for setting him up with the 'evidence'.

OSCE Head Confirms No Russian Troops in Donbas
MOSCOW (Sputnik) ? Questions have been raised about the veracity of reports that claim Russian troops have invaded Ukraine after US Oklahoma Sen. James Inhofe confessed that several photos of Russian convoys he obtained from a Ukrainian parliamentary group were taken during the 2008 Georgia conflict, the Washington Free Beacon said."

....and....

"Among the Ukrainian delegation was Semen Semenchenko, the commander of the "Donbas" volunteer battalion and a newly elected member of the Verkhovna Rada. Earlier, he was known as Konstantin Grishin and was reportedly suspected of fraud in Crimea"

Some poor guy with a bad childhood wasnt pampered enough when coming here as a "refugee". If we all give more money to the "refugees" everything will be ok. The islam is a peaceful "religion". Just some folks understand the suras wrong.

Denmark just terminated Schengen. The borders are closed. The islam is no more considered as a "religion". Its now declared as a anti-constitutional organisation. All mosques will be closed & sealed by highest order within the next 24 hours. Muslims who are/were in conflict with denmark or european law are ordered to leave the country within the next 3 months. Oh no, I just felt asleep and was dreaming.

The wet dream of an unashamed fascist bigot. You have become no more than a pathetic caricature of what you claimed to be. Every post of yours about Islam, together with your unashamed man-love for Vlad, identifies you as just another low-brow, knuckle-dragging teabagger.

LOLZ. Lefties cant even take a joke when its going against their ideology. Need to personally insult. As always when out of arguments... But they are allowed to hail the death of Miss Thatcher... Wow! Just shows the intolerance of this people and how far down our countries are already. No inch better than the intruders that rape our children and bomb away our freedom in the name of the green book.
Big applause!

What color book was Mein Kampf?

The horrific decapitations of 24 Coptic Christians from Egypt along the shores of Libya and threats that ISIS is now just south of Rome, signifies that there is no alternative but confronting the enemy.

Such radicals must not sieze power in the Mediterranean, or else war with Europe is inevitable.

I dont know, I dont care... Why you ask me? Is it the good ol tactic to push those that speak out against the political correct brainwash BS, into the right corner? Rhetorical. No answer needed...

Long gone to hurt me with that crap. This "argument" doesnt work anymore.
The sad facts speak for us tolerant freedom lovers. We have numbers and arguments. You have none but your naive believe in the peacful "religion" of the green book, and the intolerance towards us. Lefties facism tactics to shut down the right minded people, as usual.

You guys just have the Nazi-Keule as personal insult and the saying "the islam has got nothing to do with the islam". Happened again when Omar El-Hussein killed as a sorry lone perpetrator, whose bad childhood is to blame, as it is with all the other "Allahuh Akbars" (sarcasm alert). Nothing to see here. The islam is peaceful.

There is Islam and then Isis' version of it. In Isis mind every elected Muslim official and all Shiites are apostates....marked for death. They want to create a meltdown completely so for us non-Muslims the best course is to not lump all "Muslims" together. Makes as much sense as assuming the crazed Christian sect that showed up at US Military funerals condemning the dead because they tolerated gays or some nonsense representing all Christians.
Mingle in some crazed atheist in the US and it's clear the middle East doesn't have the sole fanatic franchise locked up.

The problem of the islam is the islam itself. There was no reformation, debating clubs, and what else... Its middle age. It takes a long way to understand this (took me 25 years, and many books to read, including the book of evil itself). You cant discuss with them. Those who live the islam by its true meanings are "correct" in their thinking, killing "disbelievers", opressing free speech, fighting the holy war, abusing and enslaving women and girls. There is no "soft" version of it. All those "Gutmenschen" defending it think wrong. Its not the fanatics "raping" the book. Its the other way around; the book "rapes" their brains from birth on.
Think of it like girl circumsation in parts of Africa: Those doing it, think its good. They dont think they do anything wrong. To change powerful traditons, debatting it away is not going to work, unless you have lots of time. But time is running out. The "refugees" are coming now. You cant mix oil and water, you cant mix freedom and islam. It just doesnt go together.

Oldman said:

Thats the difference here. Those sects are relative harmless. They are outsiders in their church(es). The islam OTOH is state law in many (failed) states. The fanatic christians are in a minority, the fanatic islam is the islam itself. Thats the danger no one sees unless completely understanding it.

Instead of going into bed withe the leaders of oil states, our political "leaders" better talk to people who know. Like Ayaan Hirsi Ali. If they would do, they at least would spare us the repeating nonsense of "This and this attack has got nothing to do with the islam. We just should integrate them ("refugees") better". Its a ongoing slap into the face of original Europeans, women with working brains, conservatives, trues lefties (IOW: Not those fascist lefties that are all over our governments nowadays. Those cowards never fought the true fights of the true lefties unionizing workers, fighting for peoples rights & freedom from slavery, etc.). The new lefties will be ashamed one day of what they did to their own people. Its hate against natives. The most underrated crime of now. The opposite of xenophobia that hits us originals from the second we wake up in the morning. Its complete and comprehensive. From top to down. Its a disgust.

almost 2 days passed since the truce in minsk was signed and guaranteed by europes great powers...

how are they doing ?

to find our i just finished my usual morning scan of the wide sample of word's media. it is AMAZING, really AMAZING, how the western msm delivering the news vs. the local sources...

reuters, ap even the guardian and dw (which i consider at times fair) - either did not report the true updates or repeated the official ukrainian govt line - there is no local cauldron for an estimated 6-8 thousands uki troops just as there is not the slightest indication of them giving in.

even the strongly pro-gov agency which always supported and spun the extreme-right line, the pro-europe policies - the unian - is full of reports of the ukrainian units demoralized, surrounded, reporting lack of food and ammo...crying, yelling for help for help.

the agency has both versions in their native and eglish language. here're some links (if interested google or click around)

the 40th batallion is completely sorrounded, waits for help
http://www.unian.net/war/1045099-40...kotle-boytsyi-nadeyutsya-na-podkreplenie.html

the military is asking for help, everyone can die
http://www.unian.net/politics/10450...sevo-prosyat-pomoschi-mogut-pogibnut-vse.html

why would the western media NOT read the ukraine's own sources instead of distorting, withholding and lying?

their govt investment in ukraine is understandable...but thewestern MEDIA is supposed to be fair, unbiased and free..right ?

And that's why you are a delusional racist - not a tolerant lover of freedom.

I mean there are people on this board who take you serious:
to all them:
what the guy believes is that every muslim is inherently evil and want's to trow over our society, establishing islamic law. Of course in the most horendous fashion.
Whatever they say, whatever they claim, whatever they do. According to Foxxy they are all lying, planing in secret a against us.

Just flashed by the "fair and balanced" news channel that had an "update" on the ISIS situation. It featured Kiki, Reagan's press secretary (yes, the administration that traded weapons for oil to some of the same folks trying to kill us now).
The introduction was a short White House functionary stating that "we can't kill our way out of this....we need to get to the cause of the movement whether it is economic...". Seemed like a reasonable statement and it was clipped to suit the setup for the talking head response.
What came was an immediate political campaign profile against the Obama administration stating he had "checked out..." and "history will show him as the Devil's handmaiden...". Then stating the obvious that we needed to get to the source of the ideological basis of the movement, funding sources...etc. and basically agreeing with the WH interviewee. But stating it in a way suggesting it was not part of any WH strategy.
Then they actually said "we can kill our way out of this" and the "answer is not giving them jobs...they have high-paying jobs...killing us". Another feeble attempt to tie US response to a fictitious domestic policy (see "Entitled Nation").
If Foxxy and any other person is using this as a sole source of information they can be forgiven for being idiotically confused.
That this network even exists is evidence that you can buy political commentary 24/7 and the message doesn't even need to make sense. The rhetoric, forgive me Foxxy; is identical to the tirade you represented.
These are really scary times and not to be taken this lightly by those trying to manipulate tragedy into political currency at every turn. When the war comes to our neighborhood I doubt Rupert Murchoch or anyone at Fox will be bearing arms.

Wrong. You, you are a fascist from the left. Intolerant, insulting, an a racist against natives. I just described it, and you fully qualify.

The fascists always came from the left. Especially the nationalsocialists of our darkest era (we still suffer coz of them. Thank you!).

Always trying to opress the freedom of those who think otherwise. The new lefties (again: a slap into the face of all true real old school lefties who fought for the freedom we still have) learned from the worst. Its happening all over again: This time its against the own natives! Hardcore new lefties who call the own people "Mischpoke" (quote Oezdemir), finance counter demos of so-called "Antifas" who insult, and attack the friendly demos of Pegida and else. Opress freedom of speech by cutting off the comments sections in MSM (DER SPIEGEL for example). Attack church people who speak out. Divide the new movement, etc... And the blinded brainwashed hangers-on dont stand up against those crimes. What a disgrace to our mothers and fathers who re-built our once beautiful country.

Wrong again. Word twister you are. I said those who live by the book do nothing wrong in their minds*. Go read the quran instead of attacking innocent people like me. Its all written there of what I described.

* Certainly the quiet muslims who dont live by the book correctly are harmless. But they are also to blame by not speaking out. Only a few do like Akif Pirincci or Ali Hirsi Ayaan... You not only insult me, but also this brave fine people fighting for freedom, and are always in danger of being killed by doing so.

I dont. We have no Fox news here. I just read the quran, islam crtical books by those from the inside, numbers and facts (like the Cologne rape numbers, the Rotherham incidents, the background of the countless islamic attacks, and much more).
