Wikipedia has Ullrich at 72kg. If true that puts him at the same weight as Lance, who just danced away on the pedals up those mountains;)
Just by looking at Ullrich (most years) you can clearly see that he's heavier than 72kg. He might have been 72 kgs in 97 though, but mostly heavier. Wikipedia weight is more often wrong than right.

You are in the wrong forum.

Maybe but not watching cycling with my eyes closed.

To talk truly about the sport and results that matter for ability/talent one must look prior to the early 90s.

anyone got Lucien Van Impe's TT times from his TdF win?

I got it from wikipedia too, it says 80 kilos for me http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miguel_Indurain another site said 190lbs, that's 85 kilos I believe.

edit oops, I was referring to Indurain and you were referring to Ullrich, my mistake.

Pantani in 1998.
His win is truly amazing because TDF 98 route was not designed for a climber: just two high mountain MTFs (in hard stages though), Luchon stage (the same as in TDF 2012), strange stage with hardest side of Madelaine 40km before the finish.
