The latest remark is just to prove, beyond any reasonable doubt, that my riders and Director Sportifs are clean. Can't say the same about other teams with more resources and medical know-how. The gunshot heard by me, myself, and I this morning at 6:00 as I took a stroll in my neighborhood: Independencia&Cervantes. Public libraries in DR/Public Domain/Hackers from Gob

Althought the New, as well as the old DR Constitution estipulates that there's freedom of speech and freedom to display and transfer thoughts which do not clash with any legal and/or legitimate prohibition; The fact of the matter is, we are under extreme duress. I don't know why I am put thru this ordeal, when in fact I am from a higher Caste, Kshatriya; than the Sudras which must be supported from the Gov coffers (taxation & plain indebtness). They display such lack of education, that if anyone tries to reason with them, he/she is bound to suffer a heart attack &/or a brain damage. That's why I maintain that democracy is a great political system, for those countries whose population is trained to think. The coefficient of IQ overhere is more akin to the following principle: Shoot, then ask. Sincerely MER/Latin*Poet

Sad Day: Marcos Capellan (Vega A-MdG)

Marcos Capellan, a guy w/o fear? who could ride both the team pursuit and team sprint on the track, besides being a gregario D'luxe for Vuelta winner................................. positive for an anabolic steroid. Two years ago he refused a test during military games (Not UCI sanctioned), reason for he was never summoned to be part of any DR team. It's a sad day for all of US, who know him to be a humble and hardworking guy; perhaps a little naive.

Gossip: A well known figure and his entourage, practicing their trade: Tourism in the Big*Apple after the UN discussions had long concluded; It ocurred to some of his companions to take the shuttle to DC, and to seek to get a ride on the AF#1 with POTUS, on his trek down to Colombia es pasión. The dude en cuestión was ignored, given Bola+Nera. His Aide D'Camp was told to hop on his Mafia owned GulfStream, with his Turpeni Cosa Nostra wannabes. Next: Are you kidding U$?

Vos takes second to an American 1st win from Lululemon, or whatever. But Joaquin ROCKS. Los Rodriguez a la carga, Gilbert third. Meanwhile back to the real world, away from Los Galacticos. DR Juniors to PanAmerican Games-Pista / Ruta. Guatemala 2012. Team Pursuit. Moises, Manuel, Carlitos y Potrillo did 4 50 32 on the first trial. Windy track. Just a month ago they first tried fixed gears, profile. That is one second away from Individual Pursuit national record held by Jorge Luis Perez-Vega FAD two years ago. Great. Today we will test the Team Sprint . Carlitos, Luciano, Bobolote. In addition, Mocanito will ride the criterium plus 5 fit to ride. Moises will do the ITT. Other races on the track to be decided according to schedule, agenda, itinerary, priorities set by Cuban trainer DS Michel Pedroso and Hector de los Santos, mechanic. They will depart tomorrow via Panama. Any consideration given to my delegation will be greatly appreciated. Ride Clean, Play Clean is our mantra. Privileges we seek do not.

Giro .......Trentino-2nd stage. Cunego

But my concern is that Carlos Betancourt-AS took second, third overall to M Frank. It goes to show that Colombia se respeta, Colombia no coge essa neither. I need an all galactico Colombia team for worlds. No excuses. Train and race accordingly. The two SKY dudes do fit on my dream team, plus several other riders. Break away, make sprinter teams pay............!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ricky/Ricón's 12 years-Single malt Scotch?!

It's a very sad day when a once promising actor gets a 12 years ban, well deserved. It's a miracle his kidneys/lungs did not malfunction when he administered himself a blood doping w/o medical know how. We all enjoyed his feats back in 2008, as he played with his rivals in the Alpes/& Pirineos. Later on, his team unfolded as a result. Changed owners, yet unfolded again. The next Pirata is a has been, without skills to make a living in a world of turmoil. But the show must go on. Don't step on him anymore. Anyone willing and able to help him make a transition to civil life, will be greatly appreciated. The Dominican fanático Profesional Presidente/Light

Trentino/Last Stage

The Italian 2.HC won by a dude called Domenico Pozzo'Vivo. Last stage, Colombia placed 3 riders in the top ten (1-2-9), and Venezuela one (6). Great. Will we ever be there? We can't climb, but we could rock the track if we follow up on the new scientific approach being implemented by the current FEDOCI team of trainers, DS, medical personnel, Business people; Engineers, and Fanático*Profesional/Presidente^LIGHT. Perdón, Bohemia*Especial. By the way, Heineken bought the Number ONE product Marca/País. They were sick and tired of paying taxes beyond and above reasonable rates. Now GOB has gotten windfall 'profits' of RD$8,000,000,000.oo (just about U$ 200,000,000.oo); which come in handy for the current Boss' Golden^Parachute. See, overhere the auditors know NoMath/NoLaw. Kappish?

Riders coming back from suspensions

Need another chance to redeem themselves. Everytime a see Paco Mancebo kicking **** in the US, or Oscar Sevilla fighting for position in Colombian roads, I feel both Happy and Sad. Happy they've gotten a new life; Sad they weren't pardoned in Europe, and were forced to ride below their skill level. Same goes for the Italian Powerhouse featured in today's CN cover. Or the rest of them. Shame on you, UCI. It's called double jeopardy. Some day you'll be measured by the same stick. (PD bear in mind I'm all for clean sports, buy I can't cover the Sun; neither can you). ...............The rope always breaks by the thinner part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Not-A-Chance. I am the long shot/You could have written me off/As of yet/NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT . PD:Gracias X su solidaridad. Saben K no los puedo mencionar a todos x este canal. Saben quienes son, y que los llevo en mi corazón. "Porque las mujeres me traicionan, se roban mis muchachos. Ambas son iguales. Unas Ricas&Otras Pobres. A unas les gustan baticas y chancleticas; A otras fancy sombreros y expensive carteras. Both from Sodoma&Gomorra. S&M witches'. Feladoras'. Clásico Leonardo Grullón (TIGUA)/ La*Vega 4/22/12

It seems like yesterday when the fearless Tigua left us; We are still dismayed'. He was another victim of a hit and run by a speeding trailer truck as he trained near his hometown on Carretera Duarte (RD Highway # 1); which connects the Capital city with the Cibao region in the northern part of the Island ( as was two time Vuelta winner Marino*García-PN/SC). The RD road team training for the Central American Games in Mayaguez could've been hit. But I bet God takes the best sooner rather than later, as they must be needed for more important projects elsewhere: At a higher Astral Plane. Nevertheless, it's difficult to cope with the sudden tragic departure of one of the best riders, friends, and Guardias' we had. For those of us knowledgeable of Cosmic Play, we can cope, under protest. Just a little time back, he had asked me about a Kriya T, wich he saw me medidating with. He wanted one. I promised him I would give him one if he visited me at my SAJOMA, Stgo, Ranch. We could never schedule the get toghether, despite my eagerness to have the RD team meet in the medium range rolling hill terrain for deep training, on and offroad, where he could also be successful at. RIP Champ. Ismael got one Vuelta win for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LICIMADI at Faro while Liege is on, also......

Meanwhile, the local Viejevos' will compete at the LICIMADI's 2nd stage race
around Faro a Colón, SDE. I may be near watching you, as my Feria del Libro responsabilities forbid me from leaving the Capital City in order to watch the Tigua race in La*Vega, 120 km northwest. On the other hand: My Favorites for Liege: Frank Schleck and Alex Valverde. Dark Horse: S. Chavannel. I will not bet on Gilbert this time, as he has made me lose Lotto' Cash so far this year. Not a good tactic for professional bettors, but I play with my heart. He has let me down so far.

MaximmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmLieje......

He is a former VIN winner, at the beginning of the century. His brother, the one caught DWI in Monaco' also rode here. Anyway, the stuff which makes me write today isn't Obbie's speech at the Holocaust Museum in DC. Rather, The Speech given by Vargas LLosa as he received his Nobel last year. Never mind his writing isn't at the same league as other Latino writers. We all know it's political~Those who sell out, reap the benefits. Never understood Casa^Verde, cosas veredes. But even losers who try could come up with flashes of brightness sometimes.

What is this thread and why isn't it closed?
Turkey, Candelario wins on Korean soil. There is a fellow who seems to be bothered by my thing. Of course, if he was to tell me clean hands, one on one, close range,......He would shut up, or think it over twice. But I will not be bothered by losers. On the other hand,The DR team did not field any riders on the individual pursuit, which was won by ARG 3.23.2. On the team sprint competition for Boys (DR only sent a Boy squad), DR finished 8th in an 11 team field. The competition was won by ARG again, posting 47.343 for an avg speed of 57.031 k-H.
On the Scratch, Argentina won again the 8 K competition in 12.58.390 for an avg speed of 37.018 k-h. Carlitos Medina of DR finished 9th in a field of 15. Coach Michel Pedroso only fielded one instead of two. Neither one of sprinters Carlos Tejeda and Luciano Hernandez were started, as far as I can tell. Dunno´ why. Today Team Pursuit.

Francesco Moser!!!!!!!!At Prospect^Park

Thanks to Mister I? and the Lucarelli&Castaldi crowd!. The great rider was featured. The race was won by DR's Luis Amaury Pérez, EN/Capt. Just to see the old fellow ride with the PRO-Am crowd is great. Too bad it doesn't happen more often, that legends show up at elite races, and help gear and sheer things up a little bit. NY Velocity is a great on line mag which helps me get in touch with my City, the City of mine. Got Cabernet-Sauvignon?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That race was done in february. After that it became a one man thread, containing incomprehensible cycling talk.

Thanks Míster Ferminal

Thanks Ferminal for allowing me to keep my space, in which several advanced fellows who´d like to keep silent for the time being could follow some news from home and abroad. Aparently that situation bothered someone. See, I was shaking; rather, trembling, at the thought he might get nasty and violent. Then I recalled that I used to make a living leveling off stupid folks, and peace of mind returned to my busy schedule. Thanks again. Romandie, Geraint!!!!!!!!!Isn´t that fellow the one who needs blood transfusion as a result of cancer? or Lucy in Sky with Diamonds shall visit some Netherland dude?!

Vuelta a Espana

In early 1935, Clemente Lopez Doriga, in collaboration with Juan Pujol, director of information daily, organized the Vuelta a España, with a distance 3431 km, in a total of 14 stages. That year saw the first great duel in the history of the Vuelta, between Belgium's Gustaaf Deloor, who ultimately won, and Mariano Cañardo Spanish, runner-up. The second edition of the Vuelta, finally held despite the delicate political situation, was also marked by the Deeloor repeat, this time keeping the lead from the first to the last day. After the first two editions, the Spanish race suffered a slowdown because of the Spanish Civil War.

In 1941 the Vuelta resumed competition with the peloton almost entirely Spanish, with very little foreign representation. That year the dispute was the first time trial of the Vuelta. Julian Berrendero was proclaimed winner of the Spanish race, he renewed the title a year later. Also Berrendero became king of the mountain for three consecutive years.

Thanks everyone/ Historical Facts & Figures

See, it isn't that hard to contribute. Those tales are what makes the cycling community a brotherhood (& sisterhood) despite different languages, ethnicities, religious beliefs, lifestyles, income levels, political leanings, etc.....
Tell me about the next Vuelta. Are you glad with the fact Contador will race THE race for the first time? Are the 4 wildcards (2 spanish + 2 foreign) the best qualified as far as the UCI point system award is concerned? (Please lecture U$ humble ordinary citizens of the Third World). Be specific.
