Psychologically, you feel your form slipping away after not riding for two consecutive days.

You have no problem asking your buddy to look at your saddle sore to let you know how bad it is.

You see a hot guy on a bike, but are distracted as to which components he is using. Then sadly judge him.

You don't like to admit it outloud, but that moment of drafting, then grabbing the right time to launch in a sprint, that feeling is replayed in your head again and again more so than those great times in bed. (Please...make that one change.)

You are anywhere amazingl, at anytime and see beautiful land then think...'I need to be here on my bike.'

Every frame you buy is vaguely the same colour as you know your spouse won't be able to tell the difference.

I've flown over Switzerland and looked out the plane window and thought 'yep, I wish I riding down there'.

Another one is when you plane your holiday/vacation you think as to whether or not you can take your bike, the logistics of it all.

Hah, I have not done this (yet) but know plenty of people who have.

I'm lucky I seem to be able to get away with even a completely different colour! A mate of mine created a sealed off section of his garage to build up new bikes on the quiet!

While walking around with other people, if a car is arriving you'd yell "car" to other people.

If you're walking up a climb you start thinking what gear you'd use.

When you forget about who is a Fred or who is a Poser and the only sounds you hear are the hum of the rims and the chatter of the chain, and besides everything else, you just want it all to go faster.

When the first thought that comes to mind when seeing photos of Michael Rasmussens naked torso is not related to concentration camps.

After a very hard 6 hours on the bike, I'm heading for home, out of water and it's well into the 90'sF. As I am approaching this steep hill, I reach for the downtube lever.

Now I don't know exactly how long its been since I've had downtube shifters on a bike, but I got Campy Ergo's when they first came out! Early 90's maybe?
