    I highly doubt any professional rider takes anything anyone has said to heart and lets it effect them in any way. Its more likely that they are unwilling to help him because he was number 2 in the gc and they are suporting other gc riders.

    What do you expect he was receiving no help and was literally on his own and eventually gave up. He lost that amount of time through circumstance not because those riders are that much better than him.

    Hesjedal is riding with him right now. I'm sure Porte feels pathetic, having ridden on his own all day, catching a supposed gc contender. Lets face it with Porte's GC chances gone Froome now has the best domestique in the field.
