True, he was the last domestique to work for Ineos but if he was leading a team he would be doing even less work. And he was only 2"51" off of the podium having crashed on the descent of the Giau and clearly having to wait for Bernal on Sega di Ala.

He just finished 5th at a GT while working as a domestique. He can definitely be a podium contender in the future.
