    Holding Cable Housing to Handlebars

Everything I've found searching online recommends taping cable housing to the handle bars (i.e. under the bar tape) using electrical tape. However anytime I've taken the bar tape off a pre-built bike the housings are held in place with thin clear tape, and it occurs to me that something less...

FSA Cranks with Chris King BB

I put it together with the wavy washer on the non-drive side, torqued crank bolt to 20Nm. Seems OK but haven't ridden it yet, since I have a few other bits 'n pieces still to assemble. Without the wavy washer I think there would be side to side play, no matter how much I tightened the crank...

FSA Cranks with Chris King BB

I want to install my FSA K-Force Light MTB Crankset onto a Chris King Mountain BB. Can anyone tell me: A. Will this work? B. Do I need the wavy washer thing? Also, I'm a bit nervous about tightening the crank bolt to 45Nm (as per instructions) - seems awfully tight, is that correct? I'm...

    Nokon cables with internal routing

Thanks all for the replies, I must say I'll probably go with the consensus. It's a Felt B2 TT frame (2010), the cable housing does go all the way through the frame which I guess means the little links will also have to, it would be better if the links could be external only but combining two...

    Nokon cables with internal routing

Hi, Does anyone have any experience with using the Nokon cable set-up on bikes with internal routing? I'm interested in getting the Nokon cables because I think the tight bends they allow will tidy my bike up a bit, and of course there's the bling factor. But I'm a bit concerned the links...

    Tight tubeless tyres

Thanks for the replies, mounting with a tube was where I was ultimately going when I tried to get them on without the rim strip, but might be able to try on another rim... Warming them up might be worth a try also... Mind you if the UST tyres are just wrong for what I'm doing maybe I'm...

    Tight tubeless tyres

I've just got a new set of wheels built with Velocity VXC Disc rims, and I'm trying to install a Maxxis Ignitor UST tyre with Stan's No Tubes System. I've given it everything I've got and there's no way I can get even the first bead of the tyre on. - I've tried progressively pushing the tyre...

    Lezyne Floor Pump

Bummer! Thanks for the reply... I've used a Silca pump and don't like the push-on chuck at all. As painful as it is I think I'll still go back for another Lezyne, it's a great pump IMO, will just be careful not to knock it around...

    Have ISM fixed their saddles?

I've had an ISM saddle on my TT bike for a little while - 1000km or so, and haven't seen this problem. How long did it take to occur last time?

    Lezyne Floor Pump

Hi, I have a lezyne floor pump (not sure if it's the classic drive or alloy), it's a great pump but recently after travelling with it in the car the gauge has stopped working properly. The pump works fine, but the gauge responds *really* slowly. So I pump a few times and then it takes 5...

    SRAM TT900 Lever Pivot Bolt

Hi, The pivot bolt in my SRAM TT900 brake lever came loose and fell out on a recent ride. LBS has told me they can't source a new bolt, only a replacement lever (pretty expensive way to replace a bolt). Does anyone know if/how a replacement bolt can be obtained? Any experience/advice...

    Bottom Bracket Facing

As I understand it (and it makes sense to me but I'm no expert), if the cups are not perfectly parallel then they won't rotate perfectly parallel when attached to the crank spindle, which leads to higher than usual wear.

    Bottom Bracket Facing

Thanks for the tips so far. I got the idea it needed to be done from reading web forums basically, which seem to indicate that any paint on the outside of the shell can result in the BB cups being less than perfectly parallel when installed. My research seems to indicate this is particularly...

    Bottom Bracket Facing

Sorry, should be "presents a problem". (and "par*a*llel")

    Bottom Bracket Facing

I've just bought an Ellsworth Epiphany frame and I'm trying to figure out if I need the bottom bracket shell faced or not. (I feel a bit awkward going to LBS for advice when I'm not buying any of the parts from them, but I'll get them to do the facing if required). The outside of the BB shell...
