Team Ineos (Formerly the Sky thread)

He didn't fail in the short term. Blatant doping by Armstrong, went under the official radar for years. All Pat needs is a new hero to pin the new 'tour of redemption' badge to now. Doesn't matter to him if something murky is revealed later, as long as he gets re-elected before it's revealed...

Team Ineos (Formerly the Sky thread)

@martinvickers This article might interest you. The biopasspot can only detect the extreme dopers. Although I think it has played a role in getting riders to dial back their doping.

    LOL! McQuack Calls Lemond "Arrogant"

That w@nker infuriates me every time he opens his mouth! After running the sport in a way that disproportionately emphasizes men's road racing, he want's to hide from road fans behind the skirts of BMX! I wish MTB and BMX would flex their muscles and get rid of the disingenuous, devious...

The Sky-Con-O-Meter. Predictions on how much more ridiculous they can get

Other anti doping agencies get by with narrower confidentiality agreements, their disputes are not played out in the media. Get real yourself.

The Sky-Con-O-Meter. Predictions on how much more ridiculous they can get

Give it a rest. Implying there would be no control over what was released by whom without a draconian confidentiality agreement is a strawman. Ashenden signed the previous agreement covering confidentiality for individual athletes. He also continues to be bound by WADAs confidentiality...

    Jenkins Speaks

Could be something cooking. Strange silence from Padua....whole bunch of **** shooting out of people in every direction..... I missed the resealed docs story, what happened?

    "Change Cycling Now"

Was this posted elsewhere? Great move by CCN. The independent commission has invited them to take part and they've said, "only if USADA/WADA are happy with terms of reference". Using their media pull to put Pats whitewash under the microscope and emphasise WADA/USADA expertise is a smart...

'Biggest anti-doping investigation in the history of sport'

Bump. Anyone beginning to think Padua investigation has flopped? Howman expected more riders an doctors to be named in December. Instead, we see a trickle of 3 month bans for working with Ferrari, who is again insisting he didn't dope Armstrong.

    McClown about CCN

You do realise they know they can't speak on behalf of fans or represent fans don't you? They are only a there as a channel to pass the message on. Perhaps you should check out their website before jumping to conclusions.

    McClown about CCN

Yes absolutely. Lobbying the federations to change something they directly control is far more likely to succeed. There's a good chance most cycling clubs in Ireland still have member voting rights too, which is another avenue to try. Essentially, clubs holding the federations to account is the...

    Financials of UCI drug testing

The event organisers comments made me wince too. Classic example of why a robust regulatory structure is necessary. Must admit I've reached the point I find it difficult to accept that exchanging a non accredited lab with independent results management, for an accredited lab with UCI results...

    "Change Cycling Now"

Ashenden cutting straight to the core issues: 1) Reluctance to participate due to embarrassment 2) Conflict with WADA code, which will be difficult to resolve 3) Possible criminal charges 4) Overall cost of process He offers some good solutions for one and three, be interesting to see...

    McClown about CCN

Mr 'ultimately it's my decision' writing his own PR again. Um, Pat, remember what happened after you said stuff like that about Landis in 2010......work out well for you did it?

    Financials of UCI drug testing

More from @SSbike on the subject. Basically, the race organiser hasn't been coughing up for enough tests, but instead of making the race director fix that.....the UCI have reclassified the race with respect to testing requirements.....which just happens to mean they can grab full control of...

    "Change Cycling Now"

It's just human nature that riders will fear losing respect if their dirty secrets are aired in public. It's also a massive barrier to truth and reconciliation. Ashenden's omerta article put a big part of the blame on the teams. Perhaps the UCI's role is mostly one of complicity and failure to...
