So Skjelmose did the climb 3.5 secs faster than Powless, but lost it on the flat.in the past years there always was. Maybe it'll be listed in the full results later on at least:

It is all in here (at the end somewhere): http://www.votrecourse.com/medias/resultats/20230205-41405_Etape 5.pdfDo you have Michael Leonard's splits too?
There is no rounding, only chopping off the milliseconds.I really wonder what the exact time gaps where, as I see here Powless had 15'46"97.
Normally, that would be rounded to 15'47"
But I see Powless at 21 seconds of Pedersen (who had 15'25"22), while this should be 22 seconds.
Thanks for this. Do you have Michael Leonard's splits too?
26 | 12 | LEONARD Michael | 11:53,87 (31.) | 4:35,42 (25.) | 16:29,3 |
but even then, it should be a difference of 0.35 (at least, that is what I calculate based on the video above of Powless + the results of Skjelmose, ofcourse, the result of Powless was adjusted later to 0.5 (instead of 0.95), so the difference grew to 0.7, which is, rounded, a full second)There is no rounding, only chopping off the milliseconds.
I learned something new, thanks. I thought they were rounded like in science: 0.5 = 1 second, 0.49 = 0 seconds.
And times in cycling are never rounded, 15:46.97 is still 15:46. Skjelmose lost by 1.79s
I made a mistake up there, though. He lost by 0.79s in fact.I learned something new, thanks. I thought they were rounded like in science: 0.5 = 1 second, 0.49 = 0 seconds.
slowest on the climb was Adamietz, by the way, more than 2 minutes down - and therefor also missed the time cut. Must have had a mechanical, I guess?
Really enjoyed the climb of Mont Bouquet..... Maybe the Tour will visit the likes of these climbs some day!
Good point.Rather not when it so associated with this race. Part of its identity.
Good point indeed, but I don't believe any race should have sole 'ownership' of a climb.Good point.
