Of more significance is Horner is on record as saying what USPS did at the Tour wasn't humanly possible.

I do not recall ever hearing Horner say that "Lance encouraged/coerced/forced riders to dope".

And did any of those riders that claim "Lance made me do it" continue to dope when they were leading their own teams away from Lance? Yes.

C'mon, for every rider that claims "Lance MADE me dope", there are many more and many more reputable team members who will say otherwise.

Lance did not pull a trigger and murder someone on a bus. If he did, however, THEN maybe an eyewitness or two would actually mean something....

I think it was reported on either cycling news or another outlet.

Maybe that can find one cyclist to support armstrong?

Funny, your opening post referenced Character witnesses", not witnesses to any doping acts:

Imagine the character witnesses from around the world.
Clinton. Bono. Gupta. Holey moley so many other. Hundreds. Thousands.

Won't be long until some major backlash to this witch hunt starts to show.
And it is only August lol. Plenty of time to PEAK.

If the argument is that armstrong made someone dope then that is stupid. He did not make anyone do anything. These are all adults and they make their own decisions. I am not sure your supporting that hypothesis or not but it really is silly.
Any how your mileage may vary so who knows. There are people on this message board that claim to be doctors and such. In the end it is just a message board.

Ok, let's try this again. No one has said that Armstrong made anyone dope, not in this thread, not in any thread. Give it a rest. It's a red herring created by the doping apologists in an attempt to discredit criticism of Armstrong by suggesting (and then "responding" to) ridiculous accusations that don't exist.

Your buddy Polish opened this thread on the premise that there will be "hundreds" of pro cyclists and others lining up to be "character witnesses" for Armstrong.

It was pointed out that the only rider, so far, to publicly show support for Armstrong is Chris Horner (one and only one, after all these weeks). No Hincapie, no Leipheimer, not even a Kloden or Basso.

It was then pointed out, by several posters, that Horner was a very outspoken Armstrong critic, right up until the time when Armstrong became his boss (and around the time he started practically begging to be included on the Tour squad).

In the face of this, your boyfriend Polish responded by saying, and I quote,:

I do not recall ever hearing Horner say that "Lance encouraged/coerced/forced riders to dope".

And did any of those riders that claim "Lance made me do it" continue to dope when they were leading their own teams away from Lance? Yes.

No one suggested that Horner ever said "Lance encouraged/coerced/forced riders to dope". But he sure as **** never said anything remotely positive about the guy either.

It's a typically moronic attempt to move the goalposts. His is the first reference to all that junk. His and his alone. He has no response to the fact that the ONLY rider to show ANY sign of support for Armstrong, is the same guy who has been most outspoken about him, until he started signing his checks of course.

Maybe before you continue commenting on who or what is "silly", you might work on your reading and comprehension skills, or at least bother to actually read the entire thread.

It's all over. You can lie with impunity to a sport doping authority, do your 2 years and come back and ride as long as you don't rat anybody out.

The Feds are different. Lie and you go to jail. Period. They make sure that you will do time so no one else thinks about sandbagging them. It makes their job a lot easier. There is not one of Lances old team mates that will perjure himself to protect Lance. They are already spilling their guts (including riders that never tested positive) and everyone that gets subpoenaed will do the same.

This isn't a toothless and corrupt UCI. This is the Feds. Whether or not he gets convicted of some fraud or money laundering charge the details of Lance's doping will all come out. The Feds don't give a crap what Eddie Merckx or the Olsen twins think. Character witnesses only count at sentencing when you are trying to convince the judge to go easy on the guilty.
