lol - I do feel a bit for Etixx though. They don't have anyone in the form to contest for a win at the moment, but at least they still try to attack and make the race hard - they're good for the fans.

Erviti rode a masterful RvV.

Would have liked to see Fabian vs Peter man vs man on Kwaremont and Paterberg, but it's always great to see a champion attack from far out. Not quite as good as 2014, but defnitely a great edition

Think Vanmarcke wheelsucking accusations can be put to bed. He was clearly spent at the end there.

Gamble by Cance, nearly paid off but slightly underestimated Sagan when all said and done.

What a race!

Honourable mentions for Erviti and Van Baarle. Both put in an immense performance, especially Erviti.

I just have to say this: Kwiat is a great racer. However, Sky always has 4 to 5 guys discussing these races, but it's always the same outcome. Remember who was chasing boonen at PR in 2012?

they should all work for Kwiat in every classic.

Kirby just said that Sagan's aim this season will be the Olympic Games. Hate to break it to you Carlton but it might be slightly too hard for him.

Kunstrad is an event this year and Sagan is gonna get the gold

I don't know. Today's display once again proves he is the best cyclist in the peloton. I will be surprised if he doesn't win at least 3 RvV's

Wow, nice result by Van Baarle. Cannondale were dreadful on cobbles so far this year (although pretty much all of their classics team was ill).

I prefer to think Vanmarcke did a class act in the end instead of being actually spent, justifying his lack of cooperation. Don't work but don't steal either, not to mention it being Cance's farewell and all. Chapeau.

Plus it's always a good day when Kristoff doesn't win.

In a sense I prefer other riders to win. No hate towards him as a person.
