I really love watching Yates - either one - climb. Ineos could take top 3 spots. Thomas riding with intent this year, love to see that.

Kudos to Valverde and Chaves.

Boo to Kuss. He should have been able to stick with Yates.
He thought he was going to be the bridge to Roglic, but then they told him that Roglic is not in the race and he sat up!

Bala nicely preparing his 41st birthday, Chaves dropping riders like it's 2016, Crushweak became a better TTer than climber, not steep enough for Steep Kuss, Quintana is not the naironman he used to be and Yates Adam rides for Sky so obviously he is better than before and all the rest.

Apart from thumping very good riders in the Dauphine once and I suppose Loze, this is actually circa where Kuss can be expected in that field.

Or put it differently, I still think he is 1 tier down from Yates as climber.

To me Quintana is fine for a rider with double surgery and no training during winter!

It's early in the year, but Adam Yates is looking as strong as he's ever been--maybe the strongest, with his stepped-up time-trialing ability to go with climbing strength.

Adam Yates is so damn good in these early stage races.
Great first MTF, but Ineos should be able to control everything pretty easily from now on.

Yes, sadly it's the likeliest outcome, so tomorrow is likely to be super boring, even if they may have to sacrifice one of Porte/Thomas.

For Kuss, today actually wasn't too bad. He usually does not have best form early in the year. He gave it a nice dig up there with Adam and Valverde for a while.

A.Yates can struggle with heat, so it will be interesting to see how he performs at the Vuelta - In saying that, the Vuelta is the GC he should be targetting.

My understanding is Chaves is no certainty to ride a GT in 2021 - He will be having a crack at the Ardennes and the Italian Fall races - He may end up riding the Giro, seeing that Zeits was injured in Coppi Bartali and will miss two months, and therefore the Giro - I must stress that Chaves will not ride for GC at any GT.

True but he is now at Ineos, he would have a team. Also Bernal wasn't really impressive in Tirreno.
I am not sure if your point is for Adam to go to the Giro or the Tour? otherwise what does Bernal has to do with Adam Yates? I am just a bit confused.

You said this twice in this forum. Do you have a source of this?
Chaves keeps saying different things!
