Parrulo said:wasn't uran dropped by his team mate own pace?![]()
No, he was in the last 15 riders at least 1500m after Tommy pulled over. He was dropped by Basso just before Zaugg jumped.

Not even a top10 contender. He should have known it. This is not Emily, it's Lombardy.
will10 said:Uran was absolutely a candidate for the win.
Timmy-loves-Rabo said:yeah, in hilly races he is very good. A genuine contender.
I don't believe he is the GC/GT guy some people think he is tho.

Echoes said:He was not in the first chase group, not in the 2nd one and not in the 3rd one.
He did not have the legs today. He should have known it, period.

Remind me again why they shouldn't have backed him? Muppet.
And Cunego in firstParrulo said:iirc that edition lombardy didn't exactly have the strongest field. . . brajkovic in second. . .

The Hitch said:He came pretty close to Basso on Kronplatz even though he had been working for Arroyo and had nothing to fight for in the tt.
And he was with the heads of state on both Luz and Plateau.
So he has shown good stuff in gts too.

So in this edition we do and Zaugg will soon win a GT.Parrulo said:iirc that edition lombardy didn't exactly have the strongest field. . . brajkovic in second. . .
Libertine Seguros said:Depends who you scouted. If he thought the big threats were the likes of Sánchez and Cunego, then he probably looked at them, decided they were probably in trouble and that should be taken advantage of; maybe they thought other riders were bluffing or didn't treat them as seriously as threats as they should have done.
Libertine Seguros said:if you give up the second it doesn't look like being your day, then it would be a mighty boring race for the last 200km as 180 riders climb off and get into the team car.
Echoes said:Thanks for the more balanced response but still I don't agree. Cunego and Sánchez were not in a good day and it was obvious from the first climbs. Cunego has been ill for weeks. It's not hard to check out if some of your opponents are in a better shape than you, it's also the basics of the sport, actually. The climbs were already an indication.
