And maybe they will call in Roglic to substitute.
ASO wouldn't have it. No Rogla and Pogi till the Tour.

I feel like Pidcock is being underrated even though he’s sort of off form but he still looks fine, I’ll put him 3rd behind MVDP and Mohoric.
I definitely think Pogacar's sprint can be competitive against MVP, especially after a long difficult race.

They actually will meet… At least in Fleche Wallonne and LBL…
There's been hardly any mention of Asgreen. It'll be tough for him as the only team mate he's likely to have around near the end is Senechal and while he's looked good at times, he seems to get mechanicals or caught up in a crash. Still, I hope he somehow wins it.
I think Pogi will beat MVDP on Sunday because Pogi can go all the way for 260kms, whereas the distance will be too long for Mathieu. Mathieu lacks training, still. Pogi had perfect preparation.
In 300kms MSR, this was no problem, because the first 250kms were quiet. In Flanders, it‘ll be full gas from kilometer 80 or 100 on.
I expect Pogi will drop Mathieu deep in the finale.
In fact, I expect Pogi to perform one of his soul-destroying moves. Remember, Pogi destroyed Dumo‘s soul in PDBF, so that Dumo was unable to ride a bike race for months, soon afterwards. Fausto got destroyed in Lombardia, 2021. Now, in Flanders 2022, it could be Mathieu who‘ll become Pogi‘s next victim.
I could imagine that Roodhooft and Mathieu will call Niermann and Wout ten times during Saturday, to make Wout come and ride RVV. Mathieu will need Wout to cover Pogi‘s attacks on Sunday. Just like it was in San Remo…

Don't tell ASO.
I don't think he's underestimated at all. He is last year's winner and one of the best cobbled classics riders in the last couple of years. I think he is among almost everyone's 3 biggest favourites for the race and the bookies seem to think the same. Even in this thread, if you look back, he is mentioned as a favourite right behind a fully healthy Wout and MvdP and rightfully so.I think that this is the best race on the calendar for Asgreen. The length of this race is better for him than for anyone else and I also think the amount of hilly punches is in his advantage compared to the one with less cobbled hills.
Wonder if he is underestimated by van der poel et al as well. Don’t think so to be honest, so even though he is not mentioned a lot I think he won’t profit from underestimation by his competitors. But if he isn’t dropped after around 180-200k it will be more difficult with every next hill to get rid of him for his competitors.
? Dear Wiggo?Channeling Dwight?
I don't think he would have if VdP wasn't worrying about ColbrelliExactly. Vermeersch beat MVDP 2021 in Roubaix after such a race, for example…
Pogacar today equaled the best historical time in the final kilometer and a half of the Oude Kwaremont. Same record as Gilbert attacking (3:21 at 482 W⚡) to go solo in the 2017 edition.
Doesn't mean much for the race obviously, the race is dynamic and these short efforts while training show that he has good form, but in these classics that is only one part of success.
PS: Notice that Mohoric was only a second slower in E3 a week ago.
