Maybe I am narrowminded when it comes to Greg. Could be, because I never liked him. :D

Still in my memory he was always the one doing less work during the years where he had his success. For me the best riders in this new era are way more attractive than the best riders of the previous era. With the exception of Sagan and Nibali.

He usually worked too much, hence the many podiums.

So guys, who's the real favorite for tomorrow? Anyone rate Colbrelli? Is MVDP's back ok such that he's really likely to win? I'd like to back someone other than him, but Pog seems a bit of an easy pick...

Colbrelli has had a heart attack so watching races on TV is his only option for now.

Another iconic image, racing moment of the last year:

OH darn, that's right. I remember a tweet from Valverde now, expressing his sympathy to Colbrelli and hope for recovery :(

Pidcock: "Seeing how he was riding, he doesn't fully understand where the key points are yet"
Van der Poel: "I don’t know why Pogačar is racing Flanders"

Will comments from his rivals motivate Pogi even more? He's not like Armstrong (who would be putting these comments on a wall in his room) but they could spur him a bit: I remember after his Grand Bornand massacre he mentioned the previous crazy day when everybody was attacking him saying that now it was his turn to attack them (or something like that).

Expecting a tight race with a winner from a sneaky move or a reduced group sprint, or a Mathieu triumph. Either scenario could be entertaining. But gotta admit WVA not riding kinda diminishes this a bit.

Agree that Alpecin will have their plate full to control the race. Which is a good thing.

And if it came to sprint between pogi and MvdP I would back Mathieu 10/10 times. He beat WVA after a hard race in 2020 after all.

I'm a bit surprised Pidcock and VdP read so much into Pogacar being badly positioned once in Dwars. Van der Poel used to think that he needed to be at tha back of the group on the final kwaremont. He doesn't understand a lot of things

MVP's comment was before Dwars I think but he also acknowledged that Pog has to be paid attention to. As for Pidckock, this comment may be the result of fear actually.

Pog will be surprised by the sheer power these classic boys let out. He will not finish in top ten even though he is my favourite rider ATM.

Campenaerts wins this one.
